1919 – The 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibited the sale or transportation of alcoholic beverages, was ratified. It was later repealed by the 21st Amendment.

This joint resolution proposed the Eighteenth Amendment. A joint resolution is a formal opinion adopted by both houses of the legislative branch. A constitutional amendment must be passed as a joint resolution before it is sent to the states for ratification.

This resolution was submitted to the states on December 18, 1917, proposed amending the U.S. Constitution to prohibit the “manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors.”

The amendment was ratified on January 16, 1919. “Prohibition” ended in 1933 when the 21st Amendment repealed the 18th.

1920 – Prohibition went into effect in the U.S.

trump – undocumented trump workers

Hypocrisy is in our vocabulary for a reason and this behavior hurts everyone – How many other republicans say nasty things about the undocumented yet are working for them serving food, chefs, taking care of their kids, grooming lawns, cooking, doing construction, reno’s and or all of the above but well below the wages of Americans!

The idea that trump asked for and probably hired several guest workers from shit hole countries is beyond my understanding …he is a walking poster boy of what we do Not want happening in the US of A! The midterms were a loud response against what trump and republican members of Congress have been spewing at We The People.

Though pundits said the “blue wave”  didn’t exist; it  was actually a tidal wave of Women from backgrounds of different races and religions … a vast difference to what trump has been
