Eric Dreiband ~ Tell Your Senators to Oppose him ~ myngp.com

Our civil rights are on the line. Take action now!

President Trump has found yet another way to put our civil rights in jeopardy.

Trump has nominated Eric Dreiband — a lawyer with a record of opposing women’s rights — to be Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, one of the nation’s most senior officials in charge of protecting our civil and constitutional rights. We can’t let that happen.

Tell the Senate: Vote NO on Dreiband’s Nomination
Urge Your Senators to Oppose Eric Dreiband’s Nomination to Lead the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division

Eric Dreiband has taken positions that would limit equality and opportunity for women, LGBTQ people, people of color, seniors, and religious minorities. He testified against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which provides critical protections for victims of pay discrimination; fought for the rights of a corporate employer in a major class-action pregnancy discrimination lawsuit; and represented church groups challenging the ACA’s birth control benefit. He has also worked to uphold policies that would make it easier to discriminate based on gender identity, race, age, and religion.

Especially now, when the rights of so many communities are under attack, we need someone at the Department of Justice who will fiercely defend our civil rights, not roll them back. Eric Dreiband is NOT that person. Tomorrow, the Senate will hold a confirmation hearing to consider Dreiband’s nomination. They need to hear from you today.

Send an urgent message to your Senators to oppose Dreiband’s nomination.

Thank you for taking action.

Sincerely,
Emily Martin
