The gun lobby is still pushing this bill

 When a shooter uses a silencer, the result is muffled noise and reduced muzzle flash. During a mass shooting, silencers keep bystanders from determining where shots are coming from. This can make a dangerous situation even deadlier. Just weeks after the Las Vegas tragedy, an event marked by confusion and chaos, it is clear that existing regulations on silencers should remain in place.

And yet, at the NRA’s urging, Congress can take a vote any minute on a horrifying bill that would roll back commonsense gun safety policies. For the first time in decades, convicted felons and domestic abusers could be allowed to purchase gun silencers without a background check.

Lives are on the line, and we must stop the gun lobby from forcing this bill into law.
