It was originally posted not only in response to January 6th, but because it felt like the definitions used for both Article 1,Insurrection and Section 3, 14th Amendment were being manipulated.
Also, it’s my blog! I saw comments on Twitter filled with misinformation or manipulated quotes by some Men who disagreed on a lot of things, wanted different structures for a Govt and who were all Slave Owners, but they collectively decided to break away from Monarchy! They saw, and heard talk of fewer Freedoms, fewer checks and balances to prevent anyone person having too much power!
What better way to express some things just by quoting the creators of the Constitution, Rule of Law, Bill of Rights and all the Amendments that followed
