The immigration issue affects many facets of our nation. It is an economic issue, an education issue, a national security issue and a health care issue. Our economy cannot withstand the strain of so many illegals. Our schools cannot handle the overcrowded classrooms. Our hospitals are taxed beyond the abilities and those who wish to do us harm can easily cross our porous borders.

I’ve held the hands of newborn infants. I’ve held the hands of elderly patients in the last moments of their lives. I have been blessed to have had such experiences and through them, I have gained the wisdom of knowing that every life is a precious gift from God and it is not for us to judge its worth, deny its beginning or determine its end.

Fair pay for women?  Absolutely not.

Expanding protections against domestic violence and sexual assault? Not a chance.
We can likely kiss those things goodbye if Mitch McConnell heads back to the Senate in November. I mean come on. It’s 2014 and thanks to anti-choice extremists like McConnell, we still have to have these conversations. I say it’s time to Ditch Mitch.

Thinking about McConnell and his egregious agenda really gets my blood boiling. It takes a special kind of horrible to not support the Violence Against Women Act and lie about it.
