GOP hate intensifies …

It’s been a little more than a week since Tea Party protesters hurled racial and homophobic slurs and spat at members of Congress. I don’t want to repeat the language they used. Their despicable statements were widely reported in the media, and be assured this was no isolated or fringe event.

What the Tea Party protesters said was beyond defensible. But that’s not even the worst of it. The Tea Party movement is inciting violent acts targeting Democrats who voted to support the health care reform bill.

Democrats and Republicans alike must immediately address this atmosphere of violence targeting our elected officials. You would think this would be uncontroversial in the wake of protesters shouting the “N word” in the halls of Congress. But shockingly the Republican National Committee has refused to endorse a bi-partisan “civility” statement that would send a message to the protesters.

Join me in demanding that Republican leaders stop turning a blind eye to violence and hate before it gets out of control and someone gets hurt. Click the link below to add your name.

tea party protesters.

Tell the GOP: Don’t tolerate hatred.

Your message to GOP leaders:

We ask that the leaders of the Republican Party:

1. Unequivocally condemn bigotry and hate among your supporters, and make clear that those who embrace it have no place in your party and that you reject their support.

2. Make clear that you will not tolerate fear-mongering and coded appeals to racism from officials in the Republican Party, at any level

Yes we can …

I saw this video for the first time about 15 minutes ago, and I’ve already watched it three times:
Watch your signature being delivered.

Watch the video

http://my.barackobama.com/delivery

It’s the story of Becca and Karima, two OFA volunteers who joined David Plouffe in hand-delivering signatures of the more than 1.1 million people who co-signed health care reform directly to President Obama.

But it’s also the story of the millions of Americans, young and old, who knocked on doors, and called their neighbors, and made history together.

Watch it now.

Thank you for everything,

Tuesday news …&cspan

Tuesday, moves us forward from a wild wicked weekend that brought Easter, snow in the midwest and northwest, floods and receding water, more weeks of winter, strange comments from Karzai about joining the Taliban, strange behavior from Republicans, specifically, RNC chair Steele but they all seem to be acting more right wing than usual along with the tea party group,  deaths in mines from not just the US but in China, children and suicide seem to be on the rise oh the list of things  going on the first week of April are many. The 7.2 earthquake shook and shook a lot of folks in Texi/Cali; 2 people died in Mexico and many more after shocks since… my relatives were shaken but nothing  substantial.  We must not forget Haiti, Chile and now the US may be in store for some earth changes and preparing more and more.

The Vatican needs to prepare for Americans to push for more transparency as well as accept their responsibility for what happened over the last 40years of child abuse; sex happens with consenting adults no one under 18 is considered an adult and even then the Church is wrong to hide cover up and refuse to accept they either have obstructed and are putting their group ahead of the children or could it be that this group of people actually practice this behavior; it’s accepted and people in the church now will say whatever to hide the truth.

The chambers of Congress are silent until April 12th and with that comes what could have been coverage of townhalls and or guest spots for Democrats to sell our new law of the land and beat back the noise of Republicans with the truth but … well, there are still a few more days left.  The president called out 2right wing nutters in an interview and cable went nuts trying to figure out if it was appropriate? Why are Politicians so willing to put their Political life before getting the Peoples work done.

Speaking of getting the peoples work done? People need to call Republicans Coburn and Kyl to force them into having compassion… to think about families who are affected by Yes to  blocking unemployment; it’s not just the potential hobo the partying person who loves living on what ? enough to pay for rent? the lapse affects those who need help with flood damages is hurting our economy in a big way and when checks don’t show up in Republican voter mailboxes of people out of work maybe politicians will feel it in the voting booth 2010/2012.

Thursday thoughts and news … CSPAN.org live-stream

Just one week after getting HC and education reformed, a shift in energy needs was not a popular move but strategic and contrary to what is being stated; not drill baby drill as a McCain/Palin ticket would have you know or do if they were in office, a treaty with Russia, China is now on board possible sanctions on Iran and more; the President will be in Maine continuing to explain what health care reform will do for you, your family and your neighbor.  It’s important to get the facts, block out the Republican noise because if it’s anything like what Congress already gets we will all benefit.

I believe in freedom of speech until it becomes words of hate and promotion of violence.  The signs of hate and racial commentary about or against anyone let alone the President of the United States is a hate-crime and should be treated as such; the behavior is not funny, it’s not expressing what the President is doing to our country as reported in several interviews.  It is obvious people in the CBS13 news report are not being completely truthful; and while calls were made to the owner of the lot; which were not responded to the news reports that the question is what to call the action.  That is obvious, it’s needs to be dealt with as a hate-crime and lawmakers from Cali need to deal with it.

I wonder if anyone else found it interesting that the 14 AG’s think they can repeal the mandates; when in fact the President was constitutional lawyer and though im not; i think that aspect of the bill probably was research and determined valid; it was being touted as something Republicans would run on but repealing a mandate would again take a majority vote not to mention the President’s signature … not going to happen.
