As a Verified Voting supporter, I’m sure you have been following all of the news about election security throughout the summer and fall. Our mission to secure elections in the digital age has never been more important. In partnership with several other organizations, we are pushing a nationwide effort to encourage voters to check their registration before their registration deadline passes.
There have been confirmed instances of registration database breaches in Arizona and Illinois during the summer. Just to be sure, check your registration so you can confirm that you are on the voting rolls when you walk into your precinct on November 8 (or when early voting).
Take these three easy steps:
1. Find out when your registration deadline is for your state by clicking here.*
2. Check your own registration by going to Vote.org
3. Encourage your followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to take these same steps by sharing these links with the hashtag #CheckYouReg.
