Obama Launches DNC Campaign Tour At Illinois State Capitol

The Senate stands adjourned until 4:00pm on Monday, June 13, 2016.

Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.2943, the National Defense Authorization Act. There will be no roll call votes on Monday.

By consent, all post-cloture time on S.2943 will expire at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 14. Senators should expect a series of roll call votes beginning Tuesday at 11:00am. Barring any further agreement, the Senate would dispose of any pending germane amendments, passage of the bill as amended, and cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.2578, Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations. If cloture is invoked on the motion to proceed to H.R.2578, it will be considered to have been invoked at 10:00pm, Monday, June 13.

Mr. Shuster notified the House that on March 25, 2016, pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure met in open session to consider 23 resolutions included in the General Services Administration’s Capital Investment and Leasing Programs. The Committee continues to work to reduce the cost of federal property and leases. The 23 resolutions considered include 16 alteration projects, four construction projects, one building design and two leases. The projects authorized have either already been funded or are consistent with previous funding levels. In total, these resolutions represent more than $195 million in avoided lease costs. Mr. Shuster enclosed copies of the resolutions adopted by the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
