Meals on Wheels

When will #trumpvoters question his intentions! cutting what they think are #entitlements like #MealsOnWheels and other community programs … So, i decided to call at least what folks have labelled as #trumpsupporters voters etc. There must be some that are using the program Meals On Wheels or have parents friends with parents or grandparents who will be negatively impacted by this awful decision

I hope that #trumpstates will be interested in finding out what the sum total of folks getting #MealsOnWheels in Ohio, Maine, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee and Michigan or approximately and how folks working for or getting meals feel about hearing republicans like WhiteHouse budget chief #Mulvaney’s plan on cutting social programs or”entitlements” including programs like #HeadStart and Meals on Wheels in our country?

The Republicans’ new bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act and gut Medicaid is a disaster. Insurance premiums and deductibles would rise. Families would pay more for less. You, your family or your neighbors may not be able to get needed care.

Worst of all, thousands could die. Just so the GOP can give massive tax breaks to the rich, and let insurance and drug corporations profiteer from our health care.

But we’ve already slowed the Republicans down. With enough pressure, we can kill their bill before it kills us.

Write your representative. Tell them to vote against the Republican repeal bill. People shouldn’t die just so the rich can get richer.

Republican leaders have already rammed this disastrous bill through one House committee. They are moving it without hearings or nonpartisan analysis of costs and effects. They don’t want us to know how much their radical plan will cost or exactly how many people it will hurt.

This bill is far worse than a terrible repeal plan. It’s also a Trojan horse for ending Medicaid as we know it. This threatens everyone from newborns to seniors getting long-term care. Next, the Republicans plan to go after Medicare.

We can stop this unpopular plan. Write your representative. Tell them to vote against repealing our health care.

If the Republicans really wanted to improve our health care, they would open Medicare to everyone. They also would let the program negotiate lower prices with drug corporations.

Instead they want to take away our health care to give a tax break to the rich and give corporations more power. None of us voted for that. Our representatives in Congress shouldn’t either.

The attack on the EPA — and our clean air and water — has begun. Yesterday, Trump started his promised rollback of the EPA with devastating budget cuts¹ and a new executive order on the Waters of the United States Rule, a critical protection for streams, lakes, and other waterways.² Before this important rule, 117-million Americans — one in three people in the country — depended on the drinking water that lacked these basic protections.³

Now, thanks to Trump, their water will be in danger again. Help us fight back!

In light of these developments, Greenpeace is raising the goal for our RESIST supporter drive from 1,000 supporters to 1,500. We need all the help we can get to resist the attacks from the Trump administration’s dangerous anti-environment agenda. Unbelievably, Trump and new EPA head, Scott Pruitt, claim that the EPA can better protect our air and water without critical regulations like the Clean Power Plan or Waters of the US Rule.⁴Wrong! We have to expose these insidious attacks on our environment for what they are: favors to the fossil fuel industry at the expense of our air, water, health, and the safety of our communities. Your support for Greenpeace will give us the resources to do that.
