Keystone XL is back.
TransCanada, the energy giant trying to bisect the United States with a reckless tar-sands pipeline, has submitted a new application to build Keystone XL.
We need you to take action by Monday to reject Keystone XL 2.0.
TransCanada rerouted the pipeline through Nebraska, but the new routes come with the same kind of dangerous consequences: dozens of projected spills and leaks, staggering greenhouse gas emissions and threats to rare species like whooping cranes, piping plovers and American burying beetles.
After massive public outcry, President Obama rightly rejected Keystone XL in January.
It’s time again to make sure this disastrous project doesn’t get off the ground.
The first deadline for comments on the construction permit is this Monday, July 30 — please, take action to tell the State Department that Keystone XL should get scrapped permanently.

We’ve got some important news about getting our elected leaders to take the necessary steps to stop the policies of outsourcing. The Senate will take up the Bring Jobs Home Act tomorrow. This bill—S. 2884—would stop allowing corporations to deduct their moving expenses when they offshore good American jobs to other countries. Call your senators now at 888-659-9401 and tell them to vote YES on the Bring Jobs Home Act tomorrow. Even if you already have called, your senators need to hear from you again. The vote on this measure comes as news continues to trickle out about Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital, when companies it managed outsourced good jobs abroad.[1] And this week, a new report showed Romney’s tax plan would create even more incentives for corporations to ship jobs overseas.[2] Romney is not the only politician, though, who has been on the wrong side of job creation for working families. Politicians continue to support measures that reward corporate CEOs and leave the rest of us to take the hit. Now they have a chance to move toward a comprehensive plan to stop outsourcing and create family-sustaining jobs in the United States. As Governor, Mitt Romney did cut taxes…on millionaires like himself.
But he raised taxes and fees on everyone else: $1.5 billion.
Over a thousand fee hikes:
On health care. On school bus rides. On milk. On driver’s licenses. On nursing homes. On lead poisoning prevention. On meat and poultry inspection. On fishermen and gun owners. On nurses.
