24 hours … a message from Arshad Hasan

This is it. Tonight, we’re making our final decisions on where to invest extra resources in these last 24 hours before the election. The more we raise by tonight, the more places we’ll be able to invest in — so please, contribute $10 right now and put our candidates over the top.

Contribute $10 right now — before we make the final decisions on where to invest in the last 24 hours.

When it’s all said and done, DFA members are providing the difference for progressives in top races around the country. Just look at the work we’ve done together:

  • $1 million raised for endorsed candidates up and down the ballot across the country
  • 750,000 calls to swing states and districts where progressives are running
  • 250,000 volunteer hours made by DFA members for endorsed campaigns
  • Trained staff on the ground in 10 of the most important races nationwide

And that’s not all. We’ve run ads and polls that have fundamentally changed the debate of this election time and again. This is the final push. With just 24 hours left, we’re making our final decisions on which races need extra resources right now to get over the top. Your contribution today will help us work in more places than ever.

This is DFA’s biggest Get Out The Vote program ever — Contribute $10 now to finish the job.

We’ve come this far. Join us today and deliver the win.

Lawrence O’Donnell calls Ann Kuster “a study for Washington Democrats” on how to be bold and win.

Watch the video — and sign up to call for Kuster on Election Day!

Ann Kuster - a case study for Dems

Or donate $4 to Ann’s campaign.

Carmen,

With our help, Ann McLane Kuster won her NH congressional primary as a bold progressive against a Lieberman Democrat.

And now, thanks to an amazing people-powered campaign, she’s on the verge of pulling an upset and defeating her Tea Party opponent in a typically-Republican district.

If Kuster wins, it will tell a big story to the entire political establishment: When Democrats nominate bold progressives, we can win.

But to win, Ann needs her voters to actually vote. Can you help us make calls for Ann on Election Day? Click here to see the shifts.

(Or donate $4 to help Ann get out the vote this Tuesday.)

This week on MSNBC, Lawrence O’Donnell said to Ann:

Ann Kuster, you are a study for Washington Democrats. [They] are studying your candidacy and saying, ‘How is she doing this?’

Progressives believe that you are succeeding because you are sticking with your progressive ideals…That seems to be the case, so far, according to the polls…how have you done this?

Kuster said she was “proud” of her progressive positions, such as cracking down on Wall Street and fighting for the middle class.

She also said her campaign’s “all about the grassroots” and “people power” — including “folks making phone calls from all around the country because they believe in this race.” That’s us!

WATCH THE VIDEO. Then, give Ann an infusion of people power on Election Day — by making calls to key voters. Click here for a Tuesday shift.

(Or donate $4 to help Ann get out the vote in these final hours.)

Thanks for doing everything you can to help progressives win in 2010.

P.S. Lawrence O’Donnell also said, “Ann Kuster, I’m betting on you to be in the next freshman class in the Congress.” Let’s make it happen!

Final Countdown … a word from Jon Vogel

Just wanted to update you, President Obama is crisscrossing the country in these final days and our Get Out the Vote operation is in full swing. I have been on the phone with people in the field and our targeting director is crunching the numbers.

Undecided voters in key districts are heavily breaking in our favor — that means we have to double, no, triple our turnout efforts.
There are several races where funds are too tight and they don’t have enough for their final day push on Monday.

That’s why I am turning to you folks — any last minute cash given online today will be settled in our accounts for Monday — I wouldn’t ask again but this is the difference between victory and defeat for races within the margin of error. Can you help me with a generous gift today? Contribute now.

Victory is on the line,

Jon Vogel
DCCC Executive Director

Everything we’ve worked for is on the line….contribute before midnight Saturday

In just a few hours I need to wire to the field the money for our massive Get Out The Vote push this weekend.

The math is simple: This election will come down to who turns out. And, our voter turnout operations are second to none. But, the number of voters I can get to the polls depends upon how much money I can wire tonight. And that depends entirely on you.

We need $100,000 for tonight’s wire transfer. There is no tomorrow. I’m counting on your support today.

Contribute $5, $10 or more right now to help us make this weekend’s Get Out The Vote effort the key to victory in too-close-to-call House races.

Our Democratic challengers are surging against their Republican opponents. And our incumbents are holding off fierce attacks from extreme tea party Republican challengers.

In Massachusetts‘ 10th district, our Democratic candidate Bill Keating is ahead by just four points. Like so many Republican candidates, his opponent, Jeff Perry, is completely unfit for office. While working as a police officer, Republican Perry stood by while a 14-year old girl was illegally strip searched by another officer.

We simply cannot let people like Perry win on Tuesday.

Contribute $5, $10 or more right now to help us make this weekend’s Get Out The Vote effort the key to victory in too-close-to-call House races.

Everything we’ve worked for is on the line. You helped elect the first female Speaker of the House. You helped put President Obama in the White House. But, we risk it all if we don’t hold our majority on Tuesday.

If you’ve already contributed to the campaign, I need you to make another generous contribution. If you haven’t contributed yet, now is not the time to sit on the sidelines. Contribute Today.

Onward to Victory,

Jon Vogel

TGIF ….&some News

Today our President is making stops in Maryland and Virginia talking about small business, keeping voters stirred up to vote for the Democratic Party on Nov. 2nd and let Americans know that things are getting better. I am biased but if people would just listen be more aware they will start to understand and put the dots together about why the improvement has been a series of starts and stalls for the last 20 months and vote for the Democratic Party to continue the move into the 21st Century.

I was watching CNBC this morning then all of a sudden there were awful reports of various packages and threats of bombs on various fed-ex planes but our security people responsible for keeping us safe seemed to have done exactly what they were suppose to do so i feel safe.

I hope everyone who has checked out the Washington State’s voters guide is getting the info they need to vote wisely and without stress.  It makes me feel great that literally, 100’s of people have taken the time to look through it from here … again, take the time to read the initiatives closely and obviously VOTE for Sen. Patty Murray, she is fighting for all of our best interests!

This morning a guest named Justin appeared on CNBC -an entrepreneur and owner of a business that is going to be hiring new people because his business is doing so well. It all sounded great until  you hear him say some things that seemed quite un-American to me and while he can do what he wants it was a sad awakening to know people will take money(loans/tax credits etc) from the government then turn their backs on them to run right of center for cover. My problem with this guy began when he remarked that while he is going to hire new folks because of the ultimate need, he was thinking about waiting until after the mid-term elections to do so. If that was not bad enough, seemingly on cue or by surprise Mark Haynes asks him if the elections will dictate to when and how many people he will actually hire say the difference between five or so…i paraphrase but Justin’s response is yes. I have to say this was an offensive revelation for me because his reasons did not include being concerned about the possibility of his taxes being raised, how much or how high, but he did imply that getting more right of center folks in Congress definitely being an aspect for wanting to wait. If you are listening, guests like Justin and CNBC talking heads seem to confirm that small business as well as the bigger corporate entities have waged war on this President and have a complicit relationship with the Republican Tea Party. I will admit i did not watch the entire show but what i did see and hear during the Haynes set upset me. Then an older guy came on named Kudlow, who obviously is a right of center talkinghead on CNBC made comments today about how Republicans should ride things out until after the elections which also confirmed for me his right of center TV Activism being done on CNBC. I have to say watching his right of  center activism on tv was actually more offensive than the information coming out of the mouths of the CEO’s he has trotting out on his set on almost a daily basis making comments about how they will continue to outsource to Mexico and China because it is cost efficient for their businesses.  The show was and is obviously offensive and begs the question, has CNBC taken a hard right or were they always right of center and now are providing a platform for small and large businesses acting out against the Obama administration. This show helped confirm the sad Joke still being played on Americans by those who are involved with the market, small and big corporations helping or throwing money …secret money at political campaigns hoping to gain back the ability to go back to deregulate the Banks, Wall Street, AIG types and other right of center entities. The problem becomes clear when we have Republican Politicians stating small and big corporate businesses are the ones we should be depending on because they hire thus they need the Bush tax cut giveaways to continue their ability to hire. The fact is they probably are  hiring it just isn’t their fellow Americans but folks in China and Mexico and if they are saying this now what makes anyone believe it will be any different after Congress goes back to work and legislation regarding Jobs gets on the floor. I have to say while being enlightened, angry, and sad one thing i know for sure is that those Bush tax giveaways for the top 2% need to end ASAP with the focus exclusively on the Middle and Lower classes. We all heard the Republican Tea Party leaders say they have no plans to cooperate and or compromise let alone we all know they do not have any solutions or plans that will get all Americans back on track right. So, tt is also important to ask yourself before voting: what happened to our democracy when clearly the near collapse of our economy was a non-partisan event and while Americans needed Congress on both sides of the aisle to work together the Republican Tea Party has had tunnel vision for 2o months ignoring, forgetting nor caring that their job is to do the peoples business … that should be enough for anyone to vote against the Republican Tea Party –
