I can’t thank you enough — because of you Democrats are surging in these final weeks.

With your help, we reached our goal of $500,000 for rapid response and wired urgent support to our campaigns for television ads for next week and to send even more on-the-ground support.

While shadowy outside GOP front groups continue to barrage our candidates with attack ads, we have planned for the final two weeks, a $40 million wave of television ads for Democratic campaigns nationwide and to continue our $20 million voter contact program.

So far, our efforts are paying off and we are seeing poll numbers move, BUT we can take nothing for granted. The margin of victory on many of these races are small and this is the time to go all in.

Another Bad Week for the GOP

This week, Republican candidates have been consumed by one media firestorm after another:

First, there was news that police are investigating one of their most highly-touted candidates for an alleged sexual assault of a potential campaign volunteer.
Then, photos surfaced of one of their tea party candidates dressed as a Nazi in World War II reenactments.
Lastly, NBC News reported that GOP candidate Allen West has ties to an infamous motorcycle gang and crime syndicate, the Outlaws.The Department of Justice has said the Outlaws are a gang known for making and distributing meth, committing homicide, and prostitution. The Outlaws have a history of denigrating women and considering women property – actually branding women like cattle.

What’s worse? These are just a couple of the Republican extremists running in battleground races. Early voting has already started in many states so we have to act fast to expose the troubling records of the Republicans’ radical “Young Gun” candidates before Tuesday’s TV ad buy deadline.

Your dollars have enabled Democrats in hard-fought races to fight back with ads and launch their state-of-the-art voter contact efforts. But it’s too close for comfort with so many like these running in battleground races.

When you hear the cough of someone in New York caused by toxic dust from September 11, everyone knows it. These are the people that rushed to the scene to help any way they could, and because of their heroic actions, too many of them are now sick or even dying.

After political back-and-forth, we finally passed a bill in the House to pay for the healthcare these people need. Now we need the Senate to do the same thing. We have an obligation to step up for these Americans the way they stepped up for us.

I’m asking you to do one thing: sign my petition to put pressure on the Senate to pass our House bill quickly. We can’t let first responders go another day without the healthcare they deserve.

Click here to tell the Senate to swiftly pass our bill to fund healthcare for September 11 first responders. We made a commitment that we would never forget that horrific day nine years ago, and this is how we can show them we have not.

The House’s passage was a long-awaited first step towards getting heroic Americans the care and support they undeniably deserve. Now, we need to make sure it sees the light of day in the Senate.

We’ve seen the Senate become a final resting place for too many good bills recently, and we need to band together to make sure this bill becomes law.

RE: The Choice

I need you to make a choice today — a choice to help finish what we started together.

Voters go to the polls just three weeks from today. If we let up now, we’ll wake up on Election Day wishing we did more to fight back against the tea party mob and their corporate special interest backers.

That’s why I am writing with a very specific ask today — to own a piece of this campaign. If you could give $28 today, it would cover a grassroots organizing kit for one volunteer, if you gave $35, it covers an actual radio ad in one of our too-close-to-call districts, and $144 covers the cost per point of television in another tough district for us.

We are in 75 make-or-break districts and with 8 more states starting early voting this week, we must raise an additional $500,000.

Please rush an urgent gift today before Friday’s deadline to wire money to campaigns.
