It’s Redge Ranyard’s story …

VoteVets.org

Last week, John Boehner said that Republicans were locked in an “epic battle” to keep the government shutdown going.

As a World War II veteran, I fought in six epic battles. I helped fight the Nazis in the North African seas, and took part in operations that liberated Italy and the South of France, from Germany.

The Tea Party Shutdown is not an epic battle — it is bad governance.

Americans and veterans like me depend on our entire government being open.

I filmed a television ad with VoteVets, and it’s on the air starting today. I hope you’ll watch it and contribute to help keep it up.

After receiving General Wesley Clark‘s email last week, I responded with my personal story about how the shutdown impacts my life, while expressing my disgust with the Republican Party’s politicization of the World War II Memorial shortly after the shutdown began.

I served this nation with honor. Today, I can’t say the same thing about most Republicans in Congress.

Thank you for standing up for me,

  1. Redge, you are typical of liberals who feed off the government and need it be open so you can continue to feed. You story of how you fought in epic battles has trouble when light is shone on the BS.

Paid by liberals to speak out against Americans who do not want socialist government shows your true colors.

You have lived off government largess all your life and now your security is threatened. What a parasite.

    1. First, Thank you for even coming to my blog and reading any post on it period. I definitely disagree with what you’re saying for a whole lot of reasons. I am from military country … Fort Lewis,WA and have grown up and have seen what WAR does to those of my peers, my brother and his friends and it’s good bad and in most cases far worse than ugly. I had to go on more than one occasion to help get my brother better care at a Vet hosp. he had a 21st century heart pace before it was available to all had grafts and because of all the issues an addiction to pain pills … My brother among other things was pro-athlete material , a brilliant artist yet at the time the draft was taking young men- mostly of colour or poor …. If you have served, i thank you with all my heart. I believe those who have served have always been given a promise a contract and it should never be broken. I know nothing about you but if you, your family,co-workers or your friends have Medicare soc-security Medicaid or any other Government Program I’d say you might want to include them by name in your negative feelings about who is or is not a parasite. They might want to know … I have great respect for Redge who is still alive to see say and express who really is the problem for America —– Republicans$
