Why were the Parkland, Las Vegas, Pulse, and Sutherland Springs shootings so deadly? The shooters used a semi-automatic assault rifle, a weapon of war that, in many states, an 18-year-old can buy at the nearest sporting goods store. It’s even harder to get cold medicine in some of those states.
Semi-automatic assault rifles are far too prevalent on our streets, and they don’t belong in our schools or in the hands of 18-year-olds.
