At 5:00pm, there will be up to 30 minutes of debate prior to a roll call vote on adoption of S.Con.Res.16, stating the policy of the U.S. regarding the release of U.S. citizens in Iran. If all time is used, the vote would occur at approximately 5:30pm.

Pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, Mr. Shuster notified the House that the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure met in open session to consider resolutions to authorize two prospectuses, including one construction prospectus and one alteration prospectus included in the General Services Administration’s FY 2014 and FY 2015 Capital Investment Leasing programs. Copies of the resolutions adopted by the Committee on Transportation and Infrastucture on April 30, 2015 are enclosed.

Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business for 1 hour with the Republicans controlling the first half and the Democrats controlling the second half. Following morning business, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R.1191, the legislative vehicle for the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015.

As a reminder, Senator McConnell filed cloture on the Corker-Cardin amendment #1140 (substitute) and on the underlying bill, H.R.1191. The filing deadline for first degree amendments is 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6. Unless an agreement can be reached, the cloture vote on the substitute amendment would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, May 7.
