was it something you said …wily Wednesday & some News

Today, the weather here is kind of ominous and though it definitely is not at all like what is going on in the SE part of our Country it still is kind of important to experience Spring maybe in a string of days not one day a week … sigh. I will survive make no mistake but sunshine no rain is lovely. I have had some negative interactions  … the doubter’s haters and those who fear the unknown or who keep engaging in typical fear mongering via the interwebs

My response …

i respect your opinion, I may not agree but i will not call you names or think less of you. i do not know you, however i did vote for Obama and will again because Republicans/Conservatives have honestly proved themselves useless… they have no one in charge and those who call themselves leaders are proving they are not qualified to lead let alone the fact that they have no solutions only complaints. The solutions they do have would give advantages to the top 2% and that 2% has been getting breaks for far too long. If we had fair and balanced in Congress they would all work for the greater good but in our need and financial crisis the Republican Tea Party felt a new tone and moved toward race as a tool which they felt would divided and conquer causing or continuing the attack by ex-Governor Sarah Palin. In my opinion Bush, Cheney and Paulson all f’d us and because of that, i personally am subscribing to what works and that is the Government right now. We all need reminders every now and then about what happened in 2007 leading up to the 2008 Presidential elections. In some parts of the U.S., folks believe that the financial abyss or ditch we suddenly found ourselves in started slightly before the 2008 elections the fact is it started in 2007, maybe earlier. In addition, as Americans prepared themselves to vote for the next President of the United States. The idea that we needed the government to work for All Americans not bicker, fight or have tantrums was a no brainer right. However, our two party Political systems was failing to work as well and in the long run after some bold and nasty comments and or votes the Republican Tea Party decided this was their moment to possibly change American into something it is not and continue to do daily. I find it quite amusing and yes offensive that even today as the Political Party of No is clearly being rejected by their own constituents. It is becoming clear that they do not seem to be hearing the obvious buyer’s remorse being voiced with shades of a new possible dip or as they say double dip into that ditch, which scares me and pushes the need to be vocal about the financial web of deceit by the next generation of crooks and liars. Now, after a couple of years of suggesting people watch the House of Cards, a film created by CNBC’s David Faber. I will no longer do so because for one; the original was pulled and was replaced with what I think are fabrications, my take and it is truly sad because it was a film that was definitely worth the time. The original film definitely could have helped those still wondering, help you understand why Wall Street types, those capitalists like Bernie Madoff and others like him engaged in creative accounting, why AIG created a monster and the pay out by AIG to various Banks was big and how it worked its way overseas to become something too big to fail. Republicans want to continue on this same path of less regulation and people need to see it as it is. I wonder why after all that has happened since the mid-term elections would anyone with common sense feel this is the kind of Capitalism you want and if you are still expecting Republicans to solve our problems with every American in mind… I have to say you are foolish…

Capitalism does not mean firms should engage in cooking the books, secret transactions and or becoming bigger than their sum value or investing in schemes … that — is what happened …

We the People need capitalism with a small c and more regulation … with a huge R

Monday mashup … &some News

It’s Monday, cold and though it feels like autumn, again last week was a damn good week not only for the President but also for We the People; nothing even remotely feels like Armageddon as suggested by that old man I refuse to name here. The President is in Ireland and not only visiting his ancestry town like “the media” would like the viewers to believe but to make sure the people of Ireland and Europe know that he and Americans definitely are partners in Peace. The President will also be in the UK and will visit the Queen as well as affirm the partnership there too.

Living on the left coast does not protect us from mother nature but what has been happening in the mid, east and gulf coast is hard to watch even giving to the Red Cross just does not seem like enough. I have to say anyone living there has to think about what your Republican Governors wanted to do for the last 3.5yrs and that is to get rid of FEMA, Tornado, and Volcano alert systems. I say this among other poor if not bad policies needs to be taken seriously when as we all know is the worse tornado season ever. I want you all to think about what your neighborhoods would look like and what you personally would be going through without help from the government unless you can pay for the services or if you are able to take care of yourself like ron paul offers up as the way things should be. Yes, the weather here is odd and while it has been raining the wind blowing our weather has not been as unpredictable as the east coast and that is Mother Nature, different regions have different types of weather we accept that unlike the Republican Tea Party. The Political Party of NO is also unpredictable and not in a good way. I say our government on both sides of the aisle should work for all Americans no matter what race, creed religion etc. but they have done anything but act for We the People. It has taken some way too long to find out they had a plan, that Pledge to America was in my opinion a document of lies by crooks who intend to privatize everything that is not nailed down by the rule of law or that Congress can deal with. The Republican Party continues to do everything they can to stop change. They continue to stop All Americans trying to move into the 21st Century with an opportunity for good health, to stop being denied or be discriminated against, to have relief because your student will be covered under your insurance until the age of 26; the right has said this is a welfare program… College is not cheap; people lose everything in some cases from having to pay out of the nose because of the lack of good health care coverage or no coverage at all; small businesses will be able to get tax credits for hiring and maybe afford to provide health care too.

Oh yeah, to the Republican Tea Party equality, health care and respect for all are bad ideas even novel … wonder why no one else thought about or tried to improve the lives of Americans … oh wait; Presidents in the past have tried but no one was able to until now. The HCR bill is not perfect but can and will be adjusted over the next few years.

It’s time re-enforce the ideology of the Democratic Party. The new law of the land is just a beginning of change we can all believe in. It’s change that is also the beginning of what 53% heard, listened and voted for. We not only will expect it to continue We The People must participate in keeping this change happening by calling when we need to push Democrats to push forward into the 21st Century, sign Petitions to show the numbers that continue to support climate change, stop out-sourcing, education, energy and green jobs for all projects.

The change we voted for will not come easy and President cannot do it alone. It is a moment in which we in the Democratic Party need to rise up, voice our opinion, and shut down the negative noise of Republican members of Congress. Remind Republican Governors that they have definitely made a mistake that will result in a big come back for the Democratic Party who will govern for all Americans not just a select few.

TGIF &some News …

The Political climate in the country is sort of reflecting the current weather, which has been violent at times, frequently changing agitated by furious thunder or uproar and commotion… just like what is happening from everyone involved in the Paul Ryan Plan, which includes ending Medicare, as we know it

“The tempest in my mind/Doth from my senses takes all feeling” (Shakespeare).

As Senate Democrats go back to work for the People Republicans continue to act recklessly and create mayhem on both the State and Federal levels. The facts are becoming clear which Political Party will be considered on the right side of history by all the efforts they have shown trying to vote for and implement legislation that would change the way immigration, insurance, wall street, climate change, and jobs which were mishandled and or neglected by the last guy and his republican crew in office.

The current issue mishandled by this crew of Republicans in Congress, among others is the Paul Ryan Budget Plan. The Republican Party pushed it, backed it as if it was the best thing in the world though the particulars were not clear. Fortunately, a Democratic member of Congress challenged the content, structure and announced that the plan would not only make the Bush Bonus dollars permanent, had a health care mandate , a voucher system, probably end Medicaid as well. I don’t know about you but the lack of detail in this Budget Plan given by Republicans before and during their break just proved the Ryan Plan is was not what they say it is. In an attempt to hide or assume no one would actually read “the Plan” which was portrayed by Ryan and his crew as a matter of little or no importance like a tempest in a teapot. It is obvious in reality this plan has created a great big disturbance and or uproar in the Democratic Party but Republican constituents are feeling the betrayal and it is not just Seniors. The plan, aside from the other ill-advised requirements or stipulations listed on this plan is set to affect those 55 and under once considered no big thing quickly moved into something else.

The saying that keeps coming to mind is “a tempest in a teapot”, which is how I felt Republicans were acting. Now, well now that tempest has definitely turned into a storm and has raged out of control. The tempestuous relationship between the Democratic Party and Republicans has promoted violent behaviour by some, emotional responses by all in a time when both sides of the aisle need to come together to create and pass laws. Instead, the party of no has done whatever can do to ruin the President which is being done off the backs of the Middle Class let alone snatch whatever help is left for the working class and the poor. I have news for Republicans and it is that even your constituents are beginning to see the light though i won’t hold my breath i am expecting and demanding that the Democratic Party stand up an out for We the People and help continue that path toward the 21st Century by supporting Barack Obama efforts for a 2nd term.

Governor Walker will do what?

Sitting here listening to thom hartmann talk with his guest John Nichols from the Nation — it becomes way too a scary awakening and just need to share what is on the Repupblican agenda. I suggest everyone tune into radio as well as tv because the information is less likely to be as skewed as tv. So, apparently, on the desk of Gov. County, City, Villiage School Boards ability to do their own budgeting for labor unions and or labor relations

no whispering Wednesday &some News

Yesterday, definitely felt like spring almost summer like and weather foks suggest we might have a high of 65 today maybe 70 by the weekend —- ahhhh Spring. I wish we could have it all minus the pollen but then there are worse things to experience right?

my rant

With election season right around the corner and the constant changes in campaign promises, nasty vitriol, lack of integrity going on … We the People, need to be even more aware more diligent in making sure our neighbors know the truth about health care reform, climate change, immigration reform, and what positive things it will do for ALL Americans. I have to say though it seems obvious to me some do not believe we cannot count on Republicans to help get back on track. It is clear Republicans have a different agenda, a different America in mind. It includes making the rich far more in control of things though considering our near economic collapse even people without a lot of finance background understand that trickledown theory really does not work though they keep pushing, holding the middle/lower classes hostage to get what they want. The fact is any lack of progress to any part of our economy is due to the Republican Party

If anyone is watching listening and judging from not only the behavior this first term of President Obama but also from the current rhetoric coming from the Republican Party, it is quite clear who put Party before People for the last three years. I remember when John McCain, who called himself a maverick throughout the 2008 campaign. He told Americans he would listen to the military about DADT etc. and then make a full 360 stating he would no longer cooperate with Democrats or the Obama admin. The Republican Party definitely managed to fool the public and side step their responsibility to We the People who pay their salaries. I have to say the Republicans in Congress keep moving further right of center, which should be unacceptable to All Americans –This nation is not extreme.

I know there must be plenty of moments when Republicans in the 112th Congress showed their true partisan side, colours, and nasty attitudes. I will never forget the night Joe Wilson decided he did not have to respect the place he was sitting, the moment, or the President was the beginning of the nasty behavior. In a time when at least 53% who voted for the first person of colour for President were not just proud but felt he would rise to the occasion and tackle the monumental challenges facing America that others running for President clearly did not seem to accept or understand.

A Political Party that is choosing Party over the fate of Americans is truly unacceptable and all those involved called out and kept out of the 2010/2012 elections. Republicans had over 8years to do something, anything about health care, climate change, bank regulation, immigration; to be honest i cannot remember if the house of Bush even managed to allow any debates on those issues. I remember a Bush doctrine that created 2Wars, tax cuts for the rich, a lot of involvement concerning stem cell research, abortion, killed a global warming treaty, appointed Justices Alito and Roberts, which may have a direct impact on elections coming up. Most of what Bush did do he got away with not paying for and now Americans suffer from his lack of restraint, forethought, and experts who obviously did not choose to look out for Americans.

Now, 3 yrs. later and a President who I feel is trying to get our country back on track the BS just continues though Republicans are not in charge they refuse to let the governing party do just that … govern. Voice your distaste in the Republican Party by joining me in voting them out in 2012.
