    TGIF news … &CSPAN.org live-stream – Huskies and PAC10… now 12

    It’s Friday and the news is good, if you are a Washington State Husky and in the PAC-10… talk about a nail biting game.. the play started out close, then got a little out of hand but ended up close 80-78  with Washington beating out 6th seeded Marquette. It was a game to write home about not giving up and having faith and given the many upsets, it was great to know our kids are going to the next round.   The news about Democrats acting like a Political Party is also becoming exciting… gotta say We the People need to help all Democrats get back into office if voting yes ends up being their Waterloo. In just one example of strange behavior, last night Republican Senator Coburn held a press conference throwing a threat  to hold seats to those who might lose seats looking for a Federal job.   If you listen to the Media and or people on the right, the stakes seem to be high given the HCR  process has taken so long, possibly costing some Democratic seats, which, has been a part of the Republican talking points. Senator Steny Hoyer completely debunked any truth in the efforts of Republicans to skew the CBO score as well as anyone Democratic Senator losing their seat because they are standing up for Americans not the select few who happen to be the upper 2%

Then again, neither did another piece of polling news from January, which showed Obama basking in the glow of a 56 percent job approval rating.  The cold shoulder was expected, though. Why? It’s simple: the results didn’t fit the script.  Feeding off right-wing talking points, political journalists love to push the idea that Obama’s polling numbers are in the tank and that he’s fading fast. It’s all part of the preferred, CW narrative that his entire presidency is slipping away. (It must now be “save[d],” according to Newsweek.)

    Thursday March-madness countdown to the Big Dance …&news -Cspan.org

    March Madness is now in full effect and will play itself out to it’s final push toward the big dance in April.  Apparently, a lot of upsets on the first day of NCAA play… UW is playing today, Go Huskies.  This week has been crazy and the talk from some has driven many mad as the final push toward one of our most historic life changing efforts to reform health care and insurance company practices.  The great debate or debates about who will vote no and why; can  or do Democrats want to support the President’s agenda or save themselves has gotten way too much media play for my taste, it has changed my thoughts on how honest certain reporters and the cable stations they work for are and just what side of the aisle they represent on any given day or hour in the day; because they shouldn’t be representing a side.  Recently, the President subjected himself to a foxnews interview and was unable to respond to much of what was asked by a reporter who clearly was hostile toward the President. The behavior by the host should be quite an embarrassment to foxnews management; actually, for anyone who works for the Media and calls themselves a reporter and or journalist who intentionally acts with such bad manners. It’s tough waiting for this CBO score and is it just me or has this been a score that seems to be taking much more time than all the others?  are they helping the media hype and anticipation or struggling to get it right because they have a history of having to correct the numbers.  Reports of the President leaving DC before the historic health care reform vote or right after the vote is slightly surprising.  Unfortunately, the need for the President to be here until the HCR bitter end is necessary;  though it does slow down the opportunity for getting other work done in Australia, though this vote is not the last meaningful or historic one, it  should be followed through to the end by the President

    <<< Don’t Forget Haiti

    The week ended with a fishy scent if you ask me… i know you didn’t ask … im telling you something ain’t right even if it’s just a feeling. I too was among the news watchers driven crazy by all the he said she said stuff coming out the mouths of various Democratic leaders and or self described leaders.

    I can forget messy Massa; i can see Stupak has backed down off his ledge a bit but i feel more to come.  On Thursday, word came out that Dick Durbin was about to blow HCR out of the water with a few words; then did a swift turnaround to say no, the stories were wrong? well, my heart fell; went to twitter so find out more info; most seemed uninterested, maybe just not as worried even one tweep called the Durbin office, the response was no and the stories were untrue, unlike me who did as directed … i called my representatives and quite frankly they seemed to think it was funny, which made me feel strange but knowing where my directive came from i did my best to make sure my reps were on track.

    lets backtrack … come to find out Senator Dick Durbin had in fact made some comments about whipping against or derailing HCR and while  that was going on Stupak’s group was now waning; he was not voting for HCR… ok fine because the abortion language would not be compromised; get over it and watch your election back man.

    It’s all so confusing, after days and maybe a couple of weeks of hearing Pelosi state HCR would pass, she supported a Public Option. Then on Thursday she came out with an attitude about what the Senate was doing or not doing about a Public Option; that the House had already passed a Bill, that she wasn’t having it which resulted in her Friday afternoon announcement that the Public Option would not be on the table…what? my heart completely fell, i felt like screaming. the ed show was in my ear and you could  hear his disappointment, ed went on several commercials to verify the reports and adam green, who clearly was very disappointed, sad even; commented on the ramifications.  It felt like we all had just been smacked down.

    It’s Sunday and  im definitely still one pissed off voter because by the end of Friday night the journey to HCR seemed almost anti-climatic because it’s clear Politics before the People is now a sad realization in our own Political Party… without a doubt im still a Democrat but one with questions … i would never support a Political Party who practices exclusion as the Republican party does  but … at this moment they seem to be much less than a Political Party and more like cowards; democrats in both Chambers should support and vote for a Public Option; bringing comprehensive health care to all Americans instead of acting like  … children

    Apparently, chief  justice Thomas’ wife has launched a new Tea Party group; it is important that this group be watched as it would seem like there could be a conflict of interest … though Experts say Virginia Thomas’ work doesn’t violate ethical rules for judges. But Liberty Central could give rise to conflicts of interest for her husband, they said, as it tests the norms for judicial spouses. The couple have been married since 1987.

    How upsetting it is to know that House Democrats would push the people’s business aside because they don’t trust their own party to do what’s right instead of meeting and signing some sort of contract or something;

That law focused on accountability in the classroom, but has fallen short of its original goals.
