At a rally in St. Louis on August 12, 2011, several people with savings and checking accounts at Bank of America tried to walk into the building to close their accounts. The suits and the police they had there to back them up wouldn’t allow it.

From what we can gather, according to eye witness testimony, St. Louis PD has barricaded the Bank of America building and is refusing customer access to deposits.

Eye witness account:

‘They would not let me get past that barricade, where those three guys are. I talked to the liutenant of the St. Louis Police Department –  and he said they [customers?] don’t have a legal right – but he was going to try to work out something, a symbolic gesture where eight people to pull out their money, I being one of them.’

He came back later and said they [BofA] will not go along with that. You will have to withdraw your money online.’

Note that the Bank of America web site has been intermittently in and out of service for the last 72 hours, making it difficult, if not impossible for customers to access their accounts.

They don’t have enough money if everyone wants there cash at one time   they lend 10 times what they have in bank  and if you get mad they call police if you want your money

American Mayors, Police Chiefs and Sheriffs do not speak for the Citizens of this country.
The ability to carry a weapon for non-felonies and non-adults is our rights. We are more afraid of the Government (local, state and federal) than we are of criminals. Criminal damage is usually local. Government is damaging
the whole country.

Well, I am against hand guns because of incidents my family and friends have experienced. I am against automatic weapons because i don’t think we civilians need to have them at all. I definitely understand states rights but after the Giffords attack and what may have been said or done that led up to it is another issue to be considered . I am not an expert but i do receive newsletters and interesting articles that are meant to start a dialogue. I will admit i cringe anytime i hear states rights and while i did post an article by a Mayor I did not say he was speaking up for any citizen but what he has experienced as a Mayor.  Your 2nd Amendment rights? will stay intact but the facts are what they are guns in the wrong hands kill innocent people. I don’t think the rules laws or policies State by state should be different unless there are statistics to back maybe a strict process. i just feel a dialogue is needed now not later and all guns should be registered and the owner vetted …everyone. I respect your rights though i don’t understand “Government is damaging the whole country.”

Republicans comment on Wall Street Protests

A pair of Republican presidential candidates had some harsh words for the protesters who’ve been hectoring Wall Street for the past three weeks: Cut out the “class warfare” and “blame yourself” for being poor and jobless.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said the demonstrators are coming across as “anti-capitalism.” The former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza said the Occupy Wall Street protesters are trying to distract the country from President Obama’s “failed policies.”

“Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself!” Cain said. “It is not a person’s fault because they succeeded, it is a person’s fault if they failed. And so this is why I don’t understand these demonstrations and what is it that they’re looking for.”

At a campaign stop in Florida Tuesday, Mitt Romney said the demonstrations were “dangerous” and “class warfare.”

When ABC’s Emily Friedman asked Romney today about the protests, the GOP front-runner declined to elaborate on his previous comments, saying “I’m just trying to get myself to occupy the White House.”
