A long-awaited movie on Nelson Mandela’s life, which will premiere in South Africa on Sunday, has been described as a “very emotional” and accurate portrayal by one of his daughters.
The movie “Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom”, largely based on his autobiography of the same name, traces the life of the anti-apartheid icon from his childhood in the rural Eastern Cape to his election as the country’s first black president in 1994.

Why any Person of Colour would vote for trump is a question many more people are starting to ask and quite frankly it’s about time. The research, if anyone cares to, would prove that while he is definitely unqualified, to begin with, he has a history of inappropriate comments about people of colour and those he associated with were already affluent African Americans, not regular folks. I would also suggest people do their research on how he and his family treated poor and or regular African Americans back in the day; view some video of his very inappropriate comments as someone thinking they could be potus which led up to his birther comments thus becoming the father of birtherism! It was a moment when a seemingly desperate man was reaching out to those who felt left out. It would behove our current Congress to recognize #trumpInc should not be in the White House …

BLM: Stop drilling near Chaco Canyon!
The Bureau of Land Management is holding yet another lease sale of even more land close to Chaco Canyon for potential oil and gas drilling. The proposed plan targets indigenous communities’ resources and sacred sites, threatens a World Heritage Site, and endangers the health and safety of the Chaco Canyon community.
We need to pressure the Bureau of Land Management to protect this unique region, the surrounding communities and their natural and cultural resources.
Chaco Culture National Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the ancestral home to many tribal nations of the Southwest. The greater Chaco area is a community suffering greatly from the impacts of the oil and gas industry.1
The BLM’s proposed plan will further target indigenous communities’ resources and sacred sites, pose a safety and health threat to the people who live on the surrounding land, and alter the quality and nature of this pristine landscape forever
