At 5:00pm, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider Executive Calendar #573, John Owens to be US Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit with the time until 5:30pm equally divided and controlled between the two Leaders or their designees.
At 5:30pm, there will be at least 2 roll call votes (3 expected):
– Confirmation of Executive Calendar #573, John Owens, of CA, to be US Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit,
– Expected motion to waive the Budget Act with respect to H.R.4302 (60-vote threshold),
– Passage of H.R.4302 (60-vote threshold), and
– Motion to proceed to H.R.3979, the legislative vehicle for the Unemployment Insurance extension (possible voice vote).
