When your candidate cleverly incites racism hate aggression and beat downs

HateDo people understand how a child would respond to this nonsense if exposed on a daily basis, do you see yourself in these people, were you there or maybe a family member was and how does it feel to see people reacting to the awful rhetoric coming out of the mouth of this man … who quite possibly wants to be a dic-tatorNoracism

Tell Republicans to STOP Waging War on Women

Planned Parenthood volunteers help bring the f...

Just another rant …

In an interview, Rep. Bette Grande, ever so casually stated, “Banning abortion will help Women realize they don’t want one after all. “ My first reaction was could she be any more misinformed or maybe disrespectful; most people want the freedom to make their own decisions. Second; Obvisously, this is definitely not the conservative party our parents battled debated or “compromised” with when needed.  However, as SpeakerBoehner once said in an interview, “I reject the word.”  This latest Republican comment was not a gaffe but a clear indication that the mission to kill safe health care choices as well as the Affordable health care Act, which btw is already helping millions of middle and lower class families shows just how out of touch Republicans on all levels are.

In addition Boehner stated,” now we are going to have a fight over women’s health”,  “Give me a break. This is the latest plank in the so-called war on women entirely created by my colleagues across the aisle for political gain.”  Well, contrary to what we heard from Speaker Boehner back then,  there is a conservative movement waging War on Women with a mission to take away the rights of women to decide what health care we want need or can access.

The time is now … this is a call to Stand up and Fight back against republicans who intend to destroy and dismantle the Affordable health care Act while rolling back the contraceptive clock for a complete ban on abortion and possibly repealing Roe V Wade.

We are all Freedom Fighters on some level every day.

For more than 90 years, Planned Parenthood has worked to improve women’s health and safety. They have made it possible for nearly 170,000 women to obtain low-cost clinical breast exams while providing more health services than any organization in the country such as mammogram referrals, all supported by grants. The attacks by Republicans on women, our health care and insurance rights have been growing and now include Republican Governors. It is important to remember that quite a few Republicans supported Planned Parenthood only a few years ago.

Now, since President Barack Obama took office Republicans are set on and desperate to win at any cost.

The party of No has taken an extreme right on a path that should scare the middle class. What we continue to see day in and out is the far right engaging in flip-flopping politics on domestic affairs, immigrants, financial issues,  a willingness to abandoned women and the poor . The fact is over 65% say they do not want anyone defunding Planned Parenthood but the message has been ignored.

Women’s health care should NOT be used as a political football.

Women and Men who support protecting the right to choose need to ask Republicans to put Women and access to safe affordable health care ahead of politically driven, conservative religious, anti-abortion groups to aid or fund tax breaks for the wealthy.

Leave speaker ryan and leader mcconnell a message

… And thanks for taking action

Tell your congressional members that Healthcare is NOT a partisan pawn

WethePeople

In 2018, left of center politicians pundits and organizers need to make trump supporters/voters know that Health care is NOT a partisan entity or pawn to be played with like their representatives in congress continue to engage in. The idea that folks should have health care based on their zip codes or financial status is offensive and yes some took the risk paid the fine instead, while a large group seemed to be denied health care based on and by political/social bias … knowing most Americans have had to fight to get a chance at a higher standard or good quality of life before Obamacare has now gotten tougher after election 2016 trifecta win and is beyond my sensibilities.

I don’t know about you but I believe health care is a right for each and every person in America, but it seems republicans have a different attitude about that.  Now, in this era of trump the cut burn and slash mentality is, could, can or will become a reality that has been beaten back with common sense thoughts and behavior until this 21st Century change in our society. Now, not only is it a matter of common sense which seems to be disappearing at a high rate, it’s a question of the quality of life for everyone that is now at risk whether trump supporters believe it or not the facts are there if they would just do the research.

The idea that folks can afford privatized health care is almost a joke as most know, sadly privatization means no caps, no control, no accountability, and almost always means a lack or opportunity to challenge your carrier let alone appeal…

Health Care along with the right to vote are human rights! They should not be considered privileges

Still in the News& Congress – birthers … reminders

doilookillegala debate from 5/2011, that is still relevant

With all the commotion about birthers, birthrights, citizenship  and or any of the combinations out there, the past birther comments from trump and maybe his family made me wonder not only about their beliefs  but what their supporter followers believe and if they even know how narrow minded this man might be. The idea that people actually are able to run for political office without being vetted sufficiently enough is heartbreaking and offensive. We cannot be so lax and not use all the tools needed to pull out important information like; will you represent ALL the people in your State or just a select few and please make a list that all Americans can look at.  Naturally this issue struck me as concerning and a real problem as it affects all our families past, present and future.  I guess birthrights was something he contemplated for awhile and considering what is currently in our News any and all speeches and or comments about birtherism should be posted and made available for anyone wondering how he feels about birthright citizenship. Therefore, I did a few weeks ago and this week I received a couple of comments via email so i posted and responded to both, which are below

ME: The reason i posted comments from Trough on my blog is because we all need to see and read what people say about birth rights and why – make sure our children of the future do not grow up to talk like or promote and learn it from people like Trough –

ME: Your comments about what Ron Paul wrote are your opinions, which if you live here in America are a right not a privilege and should not be taken for granted. What i did not like or agree and are in fact lies like your statements about President Obama. I saw your pix and you look like one of my sisters so to hear a person of colour write such things seemed odd and offensive. I know it makes no difference to you but both my parents are mixed and while there is def a long history of why i come from such a multi ethnic&; cultured family, we were brought up to accept rejoice and realize that America is a country made up of immigrants. We would not be such a rich and diverse country had the attitude you and Ron Paul have. In fact, with that kind of attitude, our families would not be in America let alone take part in that quest to make our lives and or our children’s lives better if Ron and Rand Paul had their way. I take issue with people who do not accept the 14th Amendment or who use race to bash and promote hate fear without evidence that anyone is bad simply because they might be undocumented. I don’t know about you but anyone that says no one in their family history was an immigrant is lying and if they made it to America then you should praise and thank them. I know that a complicit relationship was made a long time ago by big business who figured out how to cheat while paying little or nothing to people (immigrants) who had and still have no rights to fight back. We are a nation with- the rule of law and the undocumented need to be dealt with because no one has done so correctly – President Obama did not start this, however he did bring immigration out of the shadows. I don’t know why anyone would punish a child born in America of an undocumented mother because the quest for a better life for her child was the most important thing unless of course her intent was to wreak havoc or was a terrorist but i wager that the truth leans more toward looking for a better life. I think the Dream Act would help take care of all those children who for the most part are great students some have become great teachers and or innovators that should have an opportunity to do good things for America. We should hold companies accountable. The undocumented, if upstanding given an opportunity and a path toward citizenship-Ron Paul says anchor babies are wrong and if i read your comment about birthright citizenship and how it relates to anchor babies correctly you seem to insist that President Obama is something other than an American and that is a lie – I really think you need to do some of your own research. Btw, not all Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics or Whites are bad but you do know America has white terrorists who are bad-

Final comments left …

Me:

Actually, I went to your site and read your comments or what you call critiques. I said we live in America and thank goodness, freedom of speech is just one great reason to live here. However, I read your comments in a much diff way and will stand firm. I think it’s fun and amusing that anyone would give themselves props for anything the mainstream media says because in my opinion it’s lame offensive and full of lies. If that is what you want, props for them and so be it, but most people are not happy with the right of center biased comments from “the media.” My President , President Barack H. Obama is not only underestimated people boost his polls because they are actually comparing and contrasting his comments against what the Republican Tea Party and the folks who control cable news as well as mainstream media thank you very much. I know a lot of folks would love to take the victory lap but he is his own force moving toward that change 53% of Americans voted for – I give any and or all props to this President -full credit for all that he does. – Well, welcome to America and thank you for responding to the rethinking birthrights citizenship essay that Ron Paul wrote though if I read your blog correctly you support his point of view, which was why I responded originally. I still am offended by his views in that essay as well as anything else he says when he is on the airwaves about Race, birthright including the 14thAmendment.

in the pursuit of change … GUN REFORM

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Edmund Burke

repost …

 another day another shooting!!!

we need folks to push for Gun Reform

As more Americans watch, wait and wonder when Congress will take a stand on gun control, more say there is absolutely no reason a civilian should own or have access to an assault weapon. The fact is assault weapons; the standard infantry combat choice for most modern armies has no place in a civil society.  Police already have trouble protecting and serving our communities against illegal (hand) guns, legislation that broadly regulates the firearms industry (ammunition) and firearms owners let alone automatic weapons solely made and meant to kill people quickly.

We have also been asking for some time now, at what point will our (rational, sane & educated) members of Congress, the firearm industry(ammunition) and gun owners stand up speak up or out over the current stalemate to move gun laws into the 21st Century. The NRA has clung on to power by holding an archaic law over the heads of Americans, as well as being a thorn in all our sides, spending millions lobbying for gun rights while controlling votes in Congress.

The Second Amendment, states: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Is it possible that this amendment is in dire need of a revaluation for the lives of our citizens in this 21st Century with all the new guns& weapons now available.

In 1994, Congress added a background check system to strengthen our existing laws to keep guns out of the hands of felons, drug abusers, and the mentally ill.

In 2004, Congress let the assault weapons ban expire. It is time to recognize and change the flaws in the background check system that have been exposed again and again over the years, in the massacres at Columbine, Virginia Tech, Arizona, Michigan, Washington state ,Colorado, Indiana, Portland, China, Chicago, Newtown CT,DC ,LAX airport, families all over this country, Young Black Males and some White males

If not now when, is a good question.
