This fleeting moment of great weather today is yet but a moment and while the weather in the Caribbean, Indonesia are on our families minds the weather all over the US is bad … gotta say hoping everyone we know and love are okay.

Our President is on his way to make a bid to open up markets overseas- for a G20 summit including Japan-wishing him good luck and a great safe trip with Mrs Obama.

FYI –Mitch McConnell says he does not want the President to fail he wants him to change course while in different interview he and Boehner said in order for them to achieve what they want they need someone as President that will not veto everything they want to go through. This group of right of center Politicians are dodging questions about what they would cut once they gain control and instead of answering questions folks like McConnell, Cantor , Boehner are stating their sole goal is to repeal replace and eliminate social programs that help not just the poor but our elders, disabled , veterans and basically everyone who calls themselves a human being….sigh

Good News the jobs numbers have come in- overall 1.1 Million jobs came back or were created and there were 159,000 Private Sector jobs added, 151,000 non-farm jobs added as well as a net loss of 8,000 of jobs and unemployment stands at 9.6%. This is definitely an improvement but more bipartisan work needs to be done to really make an impact on what President Obama walked into after being elected. I ask everyone to call Republicans to tell them that you are an American and instead of making their sole goal to get rid of President Obama they better do something about jobs, jobs, jobs and our economy because if they do not the Republican Tea Party will definitely lose in 2yrs. The Republican Tea Party may have lied to Americans who voted for them in this mid-term election but the people will not forget. I am among I guess a small group who saw that the RTP has fooled enough people into believing your group of Corporate carpetbaggers have sold out their souls and have not just thrown the average American under the bus when the new 112th Congress Session begins the facts will be even more evident that RTP will do whatever it takes to pay back those secret entities that poured funds into various states where not just right of center candidates won we now have people so right of center that membership fighting will probably begin sooner than later. I say let the fighting begin because it will be the final piece of a sad, disgusting, and deceiving puzzle that this group has been waging ever since 53% of Americans voted for President Obama in 2008.

The big deal on the table at this moment is what do we (democrats) do now and while the current rhetoric is offensive, annoying and yes depressing to an extent we all have to be held accountable for what happened on Tuesday, Nov.2nd. I say ask yourself did you help out enough, stay home to protest and did you vote right of center to protest because you do not like what President Obama has done, is doing or that he is not tough enough, you are stupid and have no idea what the office is all about. I will admit the question that is going through my mind is did he get enough help from the Democratic Politicians “selling the message” that “the Media” keeps saying hurt not just President Obama’s base but the President chances for the 2012 elections though we are a long way from then and a lot can happen “the Media” will make that the topic of discussion. I will say that the low numbers of Democratic members of Congress willing to support legislation being debated, having trouble getting on the floor or passed on the floor of Congress in both Chambers has been a great disappointment and should definitely be something to work on for the new 112th Congressional Session. It does seem difficult for them to get enough airtime, some seemed unwilling to say what was good about HCR Wall Street reform, while the various pundits, host and interviewers have said for over twenty months that he had a chance to get the message out while questioning the message have switched up and now say there was major issue with the communication. I disagree with what most folks in “the Media” are saying. I believe cable and or mainstream TV spent a lot of time limiting the message and opted to debate the message without having a rebuttal available from the Obama Administration. I wonder how many designated Obama admin folks are asked to join panels on tv let alone fight to get a word in edge wise when they are on tv because the panel is so big and then after wards, we all see it right? The hosts bring back another panel of conservatives to beat down and or question what the President’s operative just said. If you are listening to the cable head Media noise, it is definitely annoying, offensive and we all need to remind ourselves that opinion News is for entertainment splashed with some real facts and a whole lot of right of center opinions.

Okay …errors in timing …The NV rally will hopefully be aired today … tune in. I am so use to it being on East Coast time …sorry. Cannot wait to hear her speak and gotv for Harry Reid.

The weather continues to let us all know on various levels that fall and winter have moved in whether you like it or not …some like the change in seasons some prefer 365 days of sun while others … 38 out of 39 counties vote by mail in Washington

My rant …. I have had an issue with “the Media ” for quite sometime because they seem to leave out important pieces of stories and especially around election time people need to listen closely as the manipulation of language begins as soon as they announce one by one that it’s Political Season …campaigning whatever. What the Media does not tell you unless someone actually corrects on inserts it is that likely voter and registered voter are definitely two different beasts so to speak. The Democratic Party has more registered voters who happen to vote in great numbers during the Presidential elections and not so much during the mid-terms. I know Dems will lose seats but to be honest the current rhetoric coming from the right confirms for me at least that the tea party will only last for about a minute because they have no intention of trying to make life better for Americans, cooperate or compromise and most Americans have said they want progress; we won’t be getting that from the Republicans so they will be voted out again shortly. I do not put much validity in TV polls this year if at all and we all need to be more aware that the conservative right is working that “likely voter” thing until it scares folks or folks resign to the tidal wave coming that the right of center media wants us all to believe. The tidal wave that cableheads seem to enjoy telling the viewer may not be as bad as they project. It is important to know that people who use high tech phones, who have no phones or access to a computer and live in rural communities have not really been a part of the poll numbers as much as online and or landline calls so the numbers used are somewhat skewed. In one case, i had to laugh when the number of people polled for one race was 457 …, which seems odd and useless to me. I get it, “the media” needs to scare folks and they do just like the candidates from the tea party group and believe me the thought that anyone with any sense would vote for Angle, O’Donnell, Rand Paul or any of the more extreme candidates absolutely makes no sense. I get being angry but voting against your own best interest is an act and a vote folks will definitely regret. If you were upset over the gridlock before be ready because it will continue based on the facts they will not just vote NO they have waged war against the Obama Administration. I believe we will see the Veto wand waved around a lot by President Obama when the new Session begins which is hardly what the American people need or want. If you watched the 10-30-10 rally, you saw regular Americans contrary to some young conservatives telling Congress if they were watching that they want people to cooperate and compromise which is what Americans want. Americans were on the National Mall and over 4 million of us were online that day, so listen up Boehner, DeMint, Cantor we have spoken and will not tolerate the stalling, blocking or scaling down of legislation that could have gotten our Government back on track sooner. We all need to tell Mitch McConnell Americans do not agree with his main goal, he should be concentrating on jobs jobs jobs and the economy, and last week he told Americans outright that his sole goal is to get rid of President Obama. Is anyone right of center who thinks Republicans will be better understand that the war between McConnell, Cantor, Boehner and the rest includes throwing the rest of us under the bus. Americans are watching how Republicans will behave in Congress this time and will vote them out just as fast if the cooperation needed to get America back on track fails in this new Congressional Session. The Democratic Party has more registered voters and all it would take to shut everyone up is to VOTE on Tuesday before the polls close and make your voice count -keep the unqualified folks out of positions of power … and I gotta say Marco Rubio is just one of the worst candidates -below is a list of unqualified candidates that might vote more than likely against us.

Today our President is making stops in Maryland and Virginia talking about small business, keeping voters stirred up to vote for the Democratic Party on Nov. 2nd and let Americans know that things are getting better. I am biased but if people would just listen be more aware they will start to understand and put the dots together about why the improvement has been a series of starts and stalls for the last 20 months and vote for the Democratic Party to continue the move into the 21st Century.

I was watching CNBC this morning then all of a sudden there were awful reports of various packages and threats of bombs on various fed-ex planes but our security people responsible for keeping us safe seemed to have done exactly what they were suppose to do so i feel safe.

I hope everyone who has checked out the Washington State’s voters guide is getting the info they need to vote wisely and without stress. It makes me feel great that literally, 100’s of people have taken the time to look through it from here … again, take the time to read the initiatives closely and obviously VOTE for Sen. Patty Murray, she is fighting for all of our best interests!

This morning a guest named Justin appeared on CNBC -an entrepreneur and owner of a business that is going to be hiring new people because his business is doing so well. It all sounded great until you hear him say some things that seemed quite un-American to me and while he can do what he wants it was a sad awakening to know people will take money(loans/tax credits etc) from the government then turn their backs on them to run right of center for cover. My problem with this guy began when he remarked that while he is going to hire new folks because of the ultimate need, he was thinking about waiting until after the mid-term elections to do so. If that was not bad enough, seemingly on cue or by surprise Mark Haynes asks him if the elections will dictate to when and how many people he will actually hire say the difference between five or so…i paraphrase but Justin’s response is yes. I have to say this was an offensive revelation for me because his reasons did not include being concerned about the possibility of his taxes being raised, how much or how high, but he did imply that getting more right of center folks in Congress definitely being an aspect for wanting to wait. If you are listening, guests like Justin and CNBC talking heads seem to confirm that small business as well as the bigger corporate entities have waged war on this President and have a complicit relationship with the Republican Tea Party. I will admit i did not watch the entire show but what i did see and hear during the Haynes set upset me. Then an older guy came on named Kudlow, who obviously is a right of center talkinghead on CNBC made comments today about how Republicans should ride things out until after the elections which also confirmed for me his right of center TV Activism being done on CNBC. I have to say watching his right of center activism on tv was actually more offensive than the information coming out of the mouths of the CEO’s he has trotting out on his set on almost a daily basis making comments about how they will continue to outsource to Mexico and China because it is cost efficient for their businesses. The show was and is obviously offensive and begs the question, has CNBC taken a hard right or were they always right of center and now are providing a platform for small and large businesses acting out against the Obama administration. This show helped confirm the sad Joke still being played on Americans by those who are involved with the market, small and big corporations helping or throwing money …secret money at political campaigns hoping to gain back the ability to go back to deregulate the Banks, Wall Street, AIG types and other right of center entities. The problem becomes clear when we have Republican Politicians stating small and big corporate businesses are the ones we should be depending on because they hire thus they need the Bush tax cut giveaways to continue their ability to hire. The fact is they probably are hiring it just isn’t their fellow Americans but folks in China and Mexico and if they are saying this now what makes anyone believe it will be any different after Congress goes back to work and legislation regarding Jobs gets on the floor. I have to say while being enlightened, angry, and sad one thing i know for sure is that those Bush tax giveaways for the top 2% need to end ASAP with the focus exclusively on the Middle and Lower classes. We all heard the Republican Tea Party leaders say they have no plans to cooperate and or compromise let alone we all know they do not have any solutions or plans that will get all Americans back on track right. So, tt is also important to ask yourself before voting: what happened to our democracy when clearly the near collapse of our economy was a non-partisan event and while Americans needed Congress on both sides of the aisle to work together the Republican Tea Party has had tunnel vision for 2o months ignoring, forgetting nor caring that their job is to do the peoples business … that should be enough for anyone to vote against the Republican Tea Party –

thorny Thursday … who is sitting out 2010midterms?

An article from a popular online News service stating that “gay voters are weighing in on sitting this one out” and giving the Democratic Party a rude awakening was sad because the rude awakening or bad joke will be on all of us who want to move into the 21st Century. It also tells me that the public needs to think about the bigger picture and this just seems to be ignored because of all the anger. I understand it – I get it, but why be so angry that you make whatever progress made thus far slide into the abyss with the possibility of ending any chance again for a long while because you “sat this one out.” I have to say, that I do not get. Anyway, my response to the article about gays sitting out for the midterms is below and to be honest I question the validity of the article though it uses the New York Times to frame the story. My response below is not just to the article about gays, but to another article as well with a list of folks thinking they might lean toward the GOP and those who have questions: Catholics, older individuals, so-called angry ex-Obama supporters, independents, Women and the less affluent.

I would like to know…Do these “gay voters” thinking about sitting this one out know that any movement on the right the “Republican Tea Party” will probably keep DADT in place as well as possibly reinforcing bans on marriage? I would like to know if anyone remembers what Tancredo, Paladino and others have been saying for the last 2weeks and with tea party characters being put in line for positions of power just to spite Dems, it is possible that any move into the 21st Century will be placed on hold… for good? -The filibuster and the rule of 60 have done the dirty job so far but if more right of center folks get on the floor of Congress -the vote for repealing DADT or any other equal rights issue legislation will probably get voted down- and it won’t be because of the process needed to make sure it’s legal – but hey that’s just my take
-sitting this mid-term out or voting for Republicans to express anger is voting against your best interest and makes no sense to me …get angry but be pro-active and give President Obama two more years then vote otherwise…don’t get me wrong i believe President Obama deserves 2terms. What is a problem is how few people actually got on the phone to our members of Congress to tell them to do the peoples business and stop the stalling, blocking and making the Senate scale down bills so they only make a small impact. I personally will support President Obama for the 2012 elections because the ditch dug by the last guy has made it impossible to correct in just one term. I know that people like Michael Moore have something else cooking and i see that as another troubling shoe ready to drop so this is my warning to the President that some parts of the progressive movement are probably behind the scenes organizing. The last 20 months have been filled with obstacles- Republican obstacles, the group that should be held accountable and be made to pay by putting more democrats on the floor of Congress ..again that is just me. I had hoped that both sides of the political aisle would work together but the rude awakening is that McConnell, DeMint, Pence and Cantor all have a different agenda and it has nothing to do with helping the American people –The Political Party of No as well as conservadems in some cases will continue to be the bane of our struggle to move legislation that is more geared toward 21st Century living and that includes finally moving equal rights for all of us into a reality. Vote …but Vote for DEMS. I will admit i do not understand why women feel the GOP would be the Political Party working for our needs -all of us working women ..some single women, single moms, married women with or without families all have over the last few years have suffered under Republican governing and while the air is filled with contentious rhetoric it should not …should not keep women from voting for the Democratic Party because if you were listening the family values platform is against women and has not changed. In fact if more RTP get on the floor of Congress women our issues along with so many others will become game pieces on our move toward into the 21st Century . I don’t know about other women but this scares me big time. The right says they want less government are constitutionalist yet lately not so much and when you find out what their family values platform really is you find out that they are social conservatives ready to make all of us abide by what they say not as they have done or are doing . I have to wonder why those people who stood up and said we need a change in 2008 suddenly have turned away or just don’t get that the Republican Tea Party decided shortly after we voted President Obama into office that they would not cooperate or compromise on anything.

The weather has grounded just about everyone including President Obama.

****The media airwaves seem filled with comments stating that messaging is a major issue for the Democratic Party …so, in response to an online article written about messaging at least in this guy’s opinion -a lack of or no coherent messaging by the Obama Administration.

I have to say just because some random writer puts the pen to paper about something does not make it true. The notion that any message from President Obama lacks coherence is questionable. In my opinion, the question is whether the message from the Democratic Party as a whole is being withheld by the various so-called fair and balanced News stations that have major corporate investments, which probably dictates whose message actually gets into the airwaves. If you watch CNBC you can see one CEO after another trotted out smiling it up on camera while saying the GOP win is priced into the market -to win-to correct and or before they will cooperate if and or when they get President Obama out-of-the-way. That is just my opinion; you plug-in what you feel, it confirms the complicit relationship between the likes of Mitch McConnell, Fox News, Wall Street and the rest of the Republican Tea Party membership. It also implies and no real surprise that those in the market are still playing games, holding out on just about everything we need to get our financial issues corrected or on the way to improvement which would then create jobs but that is not happening until they get their way…how sick is that? It is my hope that people who need more convincing about whom to vote for get a chance to hear these folks from Wall Street “them” actually admit and yes i will repeat it -(they want President Obama out quite possibly before they will correct and or cooperate – that the GOP win is priced into the market performance) is beyond disgusting . It is offensive that any one station has this kind of information let alone “the Media” probably has it as well but chooses to look the other way or just like so many other things these stories work against the best interest of those in charge at cable and or mainstream TV stations so the message actually never gets to the viewer or listener. The last 20 months have been contentious and because big money controls the airwaves, our President’s message cannot get out there to the extent that the lack of it moves to the background. I believe the money is not allowing it by controlling the guests and topics. Though it’s not surprising it does emphasize the need to help -like the President says change is hard and he cannot do it alone. It does make me wonder just exactly how much of our President’s or even the Democratic Party message as a whole gets out to states right of center or that are totally Red States.
