Health-care REFORM…what is real-what is not? the Obama crew needs to step-up & out to 50 States-get the truth out there

The MEDIA needs to stop catering to the scare tactics by the Right and Insurers … stop showing commercials that are not fact based.

the President’s people need to get out there, start doing town-halls because people are listening and reading the mis-information … as the truth.

There are fifty (50) states and someone needs to dispatch folks to get the right word out there … these advertisements are getting through to people… and while the President is definitely a cool person … the people working for him need to step it up …

keeping quiet is not going to work … people are getting riled up

Jackson custody … questions

glad katherine was given custody … hopefully she has a backup plan just in case

doesn’t debbie rowe still have control of this due to California laws? so what good is this?  can she challenge  custody anytime she wants  because of the laws in Cali? and visitation …  will they be monitored and should those kids know that she took money and still might be taking money to allow katherine to have custody? i heard a rumor that she expects to get only the money she and MJ agreed on? is that spousal support? and  how does spousal support work when one spouse dies … doesn’t death invalidate the whole thing?  is there a document that states MJ would give her spousal support even after his death? even if she isn’t taking care of the kids… MJ left her out of the will completely…                     soooo what changed?

seems if you break it down debbie rowe still has control  … she can’t legally waive custody rights of these kids because Cali has a law… not a good one because blood is not always a right to having custody of  children … people are always having kids who maybe shouldn’t.

at the end of the day … and it’s not but  hopefully more info will bring into light what has transpired … i want to know the bottom line and that is what financial agreement was made for debbie rowe , what happens when katherine passes and which of the Jacksons will step up afterward because those kids have been cared for by the whole Jackson family … and should stay with them only.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear mongering …

watched numerous shows with well educated people making comments about the disaster the Obama admin has us going into … well, my thought as a civilian? He is doing the best he can with what the last admin gave him and at least he is trying to do something okay!!!  other observations? it took a long time to get here and those who choose to provoke or engage in fear mongering should be avoided …how can anyone truly suggest and or accept that all should be solved in 6 flickin months let alone 2terms without bipartisanship  without a guide to go by and if you know so much as republicans seemed to act like… why didn’t they ask to see him and give him expertise advice. Those forecasting impending doom, tv pundits from the right and or people from Ivy league Colleges … should be ashamed of themselves.

anyone trying to figure out exactly why we are in the MESS we are in needs  to see the video “House of Cards” by David Faber…CNBC. This  is the “for reel” in your face deal, it will explain all of it.

I feel good about voting for Obama right now and that might change but we picked Obama to try and change the status quo … because that sure as h– hasn’t work. I want change I can believe in and so do at least 53% of the population that voted Obama into Office …  accept it … Obama won … i don’t know and to be honest … don’t want to think about where we would be if we had voted for Palin/McCain.

it’s amusing now to think conservatives/republicans would venture so far to get the votes of women only to find out that their own VP candidate was not up to par in all things Political… tina fey showed us on the most basic  level of human conditions … Palin had no substance then and now that she has quit her job as Governor … she is a quitter.

the McCain Group not only stated the fundamentals of our economy are sound and  faked a lull in campaigning to look like it was helping fix the economy and then tried to shove this woman and her beliefs down the throats of voters… most people, specifically women, thank goodness did not drink the kook-aid,  hopefully we all will keep our ears and eyes open to future elections … the party of no continues to be an obstacle.

Does race matter? what constitutes abusing ones power over another?or excessive use of force?

It’s Friday… tgif… and the month of July has been active … Racially, though i am sure the following incidents are only a small fraction of problems regarding race …this Month …
the News brought these to We the People the following :
65 Black/Hispanic kids being turned away by racist comments by members at a Pool that they actually paid to use… a black paramedic gets choked by a white officer while a patient in the back of the emt truck nearly dies… a conservative  circulates a picture of the President of The United States with a bone in his nose… a Democrat/Senator uses the N word…  Professor Gates gets arrested in his own home for acting tumultuously…  an Indian man gets forced out of line at the airport and physically frisked… a black mentally disabled man is tased in 3places and pepper sprayed for being in the bathroom for too long, gotta say they have to do something !!!!! about this !!!!!!
** gotta say that there are misleading headlines by writers(steve holland/reuters) trying to pull in readers and that is not cool… Obama did not make a racial remark… he stated that the Cambridge police acted stupidly… that was not a racial remark
*****************************************************************
what happened to professor Gates… my take…
1) anyone with common sense wants the police to do their job … 2) there was no crime being committed … a neighbor? called 911 stated 2Black men were breaking into a residence… ok that is where Race became an issue...Edit… it has been verified that the caller did not comment on race so hopefully everyone who has been on her will back-off
Professor Gates just came back from a trip he gets home and while in his home he is asked for not only entry but for ID, the Professor was said to have given it to the Officer, he also made a call to the Chief and became loud … ok the point that seems to have been missed is … The Officer did in fact get a look at Professor Gates ID… confirmed he lived there… at that point he should have left, i agree with most he was in his own home and was pressed for more info as if the Officer did not in fact believe the Professor and because Gates became obnoxious … the offended officer decided to control the situation.. again, after establishing ID he should have left the premises… it was the Professors  home , his property…  it’s my contention that the officer reacted to what Professor said … what does this say about the current training?
below is just another story of Does race Matter?

Rep. Carolyn Maloney Apologizes Over N-word Slip

It’s a simple rule for politicians: Never start your campaign with an apology. And another good one: Refrain from using racial epithets, even when you’re quoting someone else. It’s never going to come out quite the way you intended.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat from New York, is apologizing for using the n-word while retelling a story intended to damage her opponent. All she’s managed to do is damage her own chances.
“I apologize for having repeated a word I find disgusting,” Maloney said in a statement. “It’s no excuse, but I was so caught up in relaying the story exactly as it was told to me that, in doing so, I repeated a word that should never be repeated.”
Maloney’s aides say she will proceed with plans to formally announce her candidacy next week for the U.S. Senate seat held by Kirsten Gillibrand. City Hall, a biweekly publication and political Web site, quoted Maloney criticizing Gillibrand in a story dated July 17:

“I got a call from someone from Puerto Rico, said [Gillibrand] went to Puerto Rico and came out for English-only [education]. And he said, ‘It was like saying n-r to a Puerto Rican,’ ” she said, using the full racial slur. “I don’t know — I don’t know if that’s true or not. I just called. I’m just throwing that out. All of her — well, what does she stand for?”

Gillibrand’s aides say she opposes English-only education, a controversial issue, particularly among Hispanics.

Though there is no good time for this sort of gaffe, Maloney’s came not long before her Monday night New York fundraiser, attended by former President Bill Clinton. At that event, when asked about the incident, Maloney told the New York Daily News, “I issued a statement and the statement speaks for itself.”
She also noted, “We are a multi-racial country and we are all working together, moving forward.”
No one is accusing Maloney of being a racist, not even the Rev. Al Sharpton, who nevertheless said in a release: “No public official, even in quoting someone else, should loosely use such an offensive term and should certainly challenge someone using the term to him or her.” Then again, Sharpton has formally endorsed Gillibrand’s Senate bid.

It is fair to question Maloney’s judgment, especially since she said in the interview that she didn’t know if the story told to her was true or not.

And the Senate race hasn’t really started yet.
