Democrat Sandy Pasch has pulled ahead of Republican Alberta Darling in Wisconsin State Senate District 8

Democrat Sandy Pasch has pulled ahead of Republican Alberta Darling in Wisconsin State Senate District 8, closing a nine-point gap since entering the race, according to a new poll released Friday.

This is huge news — District 8 is one of the toughest districts for Democrats in the WI recall elections.

But we can’t stop now. Democrats need a win here to take back the State Senate and Pasch is up just 47-46 according to the Mellman Group poll with only three weeks left before the August 9 recall. Can you join thousands of DFA and PCCC volunteers across the country and make calls to Wisconsin voters this Thursday?

Yes! I can make calls to Wisconsin voters this Thursday!   http://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/919?akid=1087.1480546.uTXgrd&t=1

Yes! I can make calls to Wisconsin voters this weekend!  http://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/919?akid=1087.1480546.uTXgrd&t=2

Sorry, I can’t make calls, but I’ll contribute $5 to fuel the call campaign.   http://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/920?akid=1087.1480546.uTXgrd&t=3

These calls are important. Republicans have big corporate interests propping them up, ready to spend millions of dollars on sleazy attack ads. But talking directly to voters on the phone cuts through the corporate spin by putting real people in touch with voters.

These calls are also easy to make. Sign up today and a DFA staff member will be in touch with you to see if you have any questions about the calls. There’s also a quick conference call before your shift starts to give you an update on the campaign, so you have plenty of chances to ask any questions you might have.

So, can you join us and help Call Out The Vote?

We’re going to win these recalls with people power like this. Please join us today.

Thanks for all that you do.

Exactly five weeks from today, Wisconsin voters will finally have a chance to stop Scott Walker and the Republican war on working families dead in its tracks.

All six Republican Senators are up for recall and we must replace at least three of them with progressive Democrats to flip control of the Wisconsin Senate.

We can win, but it’s up to each of us to make it happen. Will you sign up to make phone calls from your home this week to voters in Wisconsin?

Yes, I can call this week!

Making calls is easy. All you need is a phone and your computer.

Your shift starts with a short campaign conference call to make sure you have the most up-to-date news happening on the ground. And, of course, any questions you have get answered. Then it’s on to making calls.

Working together, we will win these elections and get out the vote — can you help by signing up for a two-hour phone shift?

Yes, sign me up to make calls this week!
Sorry, I can’t call right now but I’ll contribute $5 fund the campaign to win.

Thank you for working to win in Wisconsin.

Scott Walker vs. Planned Parenthood

This is it, folks. DFA‘s campaign to recall six anti-union, anti-middle class Wisconsin Republican Senators is almost ready to go and it’s the biggest campaign we’ve ever run.

We’re going to be on the air with new hard-hitting television, radio and web ads against these six Republicans for their votes to destroy unions and middle-class families.

We’re going to be on the ground with a massive canvassing operation that will knock on 137,523 doors in 40 days. DFA Deputy Field Director Nick Passanante is on the ground right now hiring staff for our biggest-ever ground campaign.

And we’re going to be on the phones. That’s right, we’re bringing back our hugely successful Call Out The Vote program with our friends at the PCCC — plugging in thousands of volunteers from across the country to make calls to voters in Wisconsin.

We’re putting together a grassroots campaign because people-power is the only thing that can beat big corporate money — it’s the only thing that ever has. But we can’t do it without you.

These six Republican senators reminded us last week exactly what’s at stake when they voted lockstep with right-wing Gov. Scott Walker to defund Planned Parenthood — another attack in the Republican war on middle class families.

Wisconsin isn’t the only state where right-wing Republicans have launched all-out war on middle class families and we’re working right now to organize volunteers in New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio and all across the country. But Wisconsin is the first state where we have a chance to go to the polls and recall Republicans.

The Wisconsin recall is our biggest campaign ever — and it’s only the beginning. Join us now and send a clear message to Republicans across the country — attack the middle class and you lose.

On the air, on the ground and on the phone — that’s real people power. Please contribute today and we’ll win this fight together.

Thank you for everything you do.

Wisconsin Republicans know they went too far in their attacks on unions and middle class families — so they’re changing election laws to protect themselves.

With six Republican State Senators facing recall, the right-wing Republican majority forced through a new voter ID law that would disenfranchise students, the poor, and the elderly — all groups who vote Democratic — ahead of this summer’s elections.

This is just another Republican attack in their war on working families. That’s why we’re building a people-powered campaign to beat them. We’re putting staff on the ground to organize volunteers, knock on doors, make phone calls and run radio and TV ads featuring real Wisconsin families.

Their campaign is fueled by big corporate money. But our campaign is fueled by grassroots volunteers and small contributions from thousands of DFA members. We can’t afford to wait any longer to start building our campaign. We need to hit the ground running and we can’t do it without you.

This Republican attack on their constituents’ right to vote is shameful not just because it’s wrong, but also because it’s so blatant.

They’re not only requiring college students to bring a photo ID — they’re requiring them to bring recent tuition receipts if they’re using a college ID.

They’re not only imposing new residency requirements on voters — they’re also not providing any time or money to local offices to educate voters on the new laws.

Republicans are scared — that’s why they’re launching this attack on people’s voting rights. They know that they crossed a line and that they’re in for a tough fight this summer. Please contribute today and help send a clear message to right-wing Republicans in Wisconsin and across the country — attack the middle class and you lose.

Palin steps into Wisconsin

Sarah Palin just endorsed David Prosser, the right-wing candidate in next week’s election for Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Prosser voted with Gov. Scott Walker 95% when they were in the legislature — and if he wins this election, he’ll be the deciding vote on the legality of Gov. Walker’s anti-worker bill that passed in the dark of night after Republicans bent the rules.

Can you join PCCC members across the nation who are calling Wisconsin voters – asking them to defeat the Palin/Walker candidate in Tuesday’s election?

Yes! Show me the shifts to sign up and volunteer from my home!http://act.boldprogressives.org/go/3564?rand_id=70376718&akid=3711.264653.pnUY5f&t=1

No, thanks — but I’ll join thousands of others in donating $3 to support the PCCC’s Wisconsin program.http://act.boldprogressives.org/go/3565?akid=3711.264653.pnUY5f&t=2

In just three days, volunteers made 27,000 calls to Wisconsin voters. We have momentum, and in a low-turnout election our calls can swing this race!

Prosser is running against progressive Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg. If we defeat Palin’s candidate, it will be a big victory for workers and a huge loss for Wisconsin Republicans just as they prepare to play defense in recall elections.

We hope you can spare an hour and volunteer from home for this important cause! Thanks for being a bold progressive.
