The idea that President Barack Obama just didn’t know what he was doing is beyond absurd; he was definitely held back by his aids but he governed for the people. I cannot say that about our current administration. There are strong feelings, passions and possible misunderstandings in this era of trump, but it seems like it’s time for trump supporters to hit the “panic button” especially after the midterms and time for DEMS to call it game over! To be sure the game of politics is clearly just beginning as DEMS take over the House and at some point voters on both sides of the aisle had to see the actions being made, accept the truth of where this admin wanted America to go and made some serious decisions in 2018 to change the faces of Congress. It’s possible that Congress previously led by republicans will now be held to a minimum of spending on hearings based on revenge, his 3rd shutdown has begun while the government of tantrums is far from over and the chaos is beyond holding America hostage for no quantifying reason. The check on mr trump has been voted into office during the midterms … YaY! yet, the long road ahead is going to keep us wide eyed mouthed and gasping as we endure this era of trump

So, for this coming New Year, pledge to be ready for Election 2020… lean left. The point to my blog; is to blow off steam … offer up some info from those who know, maybe question, challenge some who think they know, ask, plead or yell for a call to action with signatures that can create change …and

Yes, Words do Matter contrary to how most conservatives seem to feel.

I thank everyone who even takes the time to visit my blog let alone read and respond to the articles and even some actually sign petitions … I thank you … much gratitude.

In this era of trump one might be thinking the end of days, what with republicans trying to legislate more guns in stadiums schools and other alarming places, allowing more concealed weapons in open spaces least we think about what life will look like under what seems like Martial Law depending on your zip code or skin colour. We must stand our ground and have the Audacity for Hope and Change.

Having to read, hear or watch the trump cabinet move from sending up floaters to just doing or saying whatever they want! This is… considered by most who lean left to be a lawless potus who has been abusing the power given to the person not only taking an oath but who holds the highest position in the Nation least we talk about what the Constitution warns the US Congress to do when charged with unethical behavior, violates a few Acts spends taxpayer money on trumpInc and this behavior is and has been deemed as trump being… trump.
Yes, it’s trump behavior to be sure but, moreover, it shows how careless reckless this guy thinks a government is run. It wreaks of fear-mongering, infers a dictatorship in the making and that old mainstay that republicans use more than anyone should have to hear comes to mind when I take the time to sit still long enough to hear see and must agree … Our future is “uncertain” in every shape and form you can now unfortunately imagine.

We don’t know who will be constants in the trump government as 3 years into this administration and you can probably count the number of permanent staff on one hand while realizing that several have been charged convicted and have done jail time but, the floaters keep coming and they keep giving off a bad foul odor knowing the comments this man has made in general let alone the ones about women is something that no person with common sense can ignore deny or pass off as locker room talk or as his wife said … teenage boys talking whispers etc. uh the guy is a grown-up at say 70yrs old and a phrase that will be used quite a lot in the next few yrs; with apprehension fear hopefully with the knowledge that will be

The weather outside is frightful depending upon which state you live in. It is reported that snow is rolling through the low land Plains, Canada and the PNW Mountains though life in the low lands here is as per usual here in the 206 … windy and cold. In a complete surprise, reports are that #Halloween2019 will be sunny and cold! So make sure to dress appropriately and be on the safe side!

I don’t know about you but dang, the #WANov5ballot was complex and took a little longer than usual to fill out because of the many positions, issues and the lack of information to ponder but, the fact that I couldn’t vote for Mayor or the City Council in my area due to how the lines are drawn is upsetting, not acceptable. I did refer to the #ProgressiveVotersGuide website for help! So, my point is, I hope everyone has taken the time to go over that #Nov5Ballot and checked the information on it with some much-needed research. I did NOT vote for R88 in this era of trump because I don’t know who or how companies will be monitored; who will face any consequences if this policy is on an honor system only and as Vets have been stating … They might or will be left out.

Politics! has seeped into every part of our lives since trump managed to gain the highest position in the land and not in a good way IMO. Whoever helped him and however he got there, it certainly isn’t what our founders envisioned. When the 2018Midterms showed that the country wanted needed checks and balances on this guy, things just got crazier. Now, we are in a Historic moment where not only has the trump impeachment inquiry vote taken in the House and will move forward we have an African American Woman currently in the position of 4th in the Democratic Primary Candidate choices. While all this is going on the Republican Nationalist Party has made a whole lot of folks uncomfortable, what with all the loony tune behavior, overt lies and racist comments by folks who claim they are qualified to be representing constituents… Tell me how that can be if you are engaging in fear of nonwhites? We all need to repeat daily, that are a nation of immigrants yet, being brown and or black appears to be enough to be considered suspect.

I do not want to go back to what sounds like the colonial days …it controlled the lives & the future of people of colour and now a group that took a hard right are saying they are Nationalists …their definition btw hasn’t been clarified by team trump after tossing it out into the airwaves.

Q: Are they determined to repeal equity in all its forms …
We are a nation of immigrants, yet it seems like there is a stark difference between which immigrants, asylum seekers or refugees that are more acceptable … You heard the rhetoric, we must move forward to stay in the present so discrimination in all its forms fails.

HIM: Meanwhile some immigrant is stuck in his homeland because the “dreamer” and his parents violated our most basic rules. That law-abiding immigrant may never make it here because the “dreamer” cut in line. Why reward line cutters? I do not have the slightest sympathy for kids who get hurt because of the actions of their parents. It was the parents who knew the risk and hurt their kids, not me. Half of our prison system is full of legal citizens who are parents. You do not think their kids are suffering. Should we just refuse to apply our laws to citizens who have kids? Crazy…

ME:I appreciate most if not all responses, you actually took the time to visit my blog and read a post. The post you are referring to was taken from the organization the Reform Immigration for America site and was not only interesting it was meant to open up a dialogue; more questions and hopefully more understanding of what Dreamers have to go through in order to become an American. Therefore, I did not write the post. I do post things I may not completely agree with but in this case, I will tell you that since the word immigrant has existed so have adult folks bringing or having children while being undocumented and no, I do not believe it is the fault of the children. The fact is immigrants of all races have experienced this since that complicit yet unspoken deal made between the undocumented and companies needing workers not only reached out. They exploited people who had nowhere else to go because the fact is, there was no economic net or program way back before the numbers grew to 11 or 12 million undocumented. Those who do cheat the system, do so with malice or who have committed illegal acts while hiding is unacceptable but being a “child of” is a person of circumstance.

I also believe that there are parts of our economy that would not be or would be lacking in consumer services and or food even if the eco-footprint is huge. We all have to admit these workers are quite often undocumented and while there are “Americans” who do stoop work, the numbers are small and then there are the cleaning, landscape and construction industries with some in control choosing to hire the cheaper no insurance card carrying undocumented. I think the process needs an incredible amount of reforming and though I know some about the “line cutters”, I am not sure what the actual numbers are lest we talk about the number of people who are deported wrongfully as well. It is a messy process that no one wants to deal with honestly, because the sin and the sinner are far too close at hand.

As for those in our prisons, that is a whole other bag of nasty and I cannot begin to tell you how upsetting it is to know that our prisons are in my opinion, legally controlled housing for folks of colour. I am not going to say that people of colour do not commit crimes but clearly, there are plenty of cases with the same crime committed by whites but the punishment levied to defendants is not even close. These are two issues that definitely need reforming yet I cannot interchange them because the only crime every dreamer has committed, is being brought or born in America as a young child. whereas at least some prison inmates have actually done so … thus, my hesitation to use the analogy. I would say that being a dreamer is not as easy as you seem to think because the application, the hoops seem as rigorous as trying to become a citizen and it should be. Again, I appreciate your right to the first amendment and opinion … mine is just different. I also think it’s time for folks to come out of the shadows; such as the kids brought or born here =Dreamers …are, in my opinion, Americans; most have or want more educational/employment opportunities, know nothing different and consider themselves American, possibly have no connection to respective family homelands. I will say that it is time for employers to be held accountable and pledge to help reform the policies that offer a path to citizenship or a way that allows folks to cross over work and go home in a more human way

I hope you are not suggesting we round folks up and send them somewhere.
