Women Voters of America …what else do you need? #OurLivesMatter

…. yep, just another rant!

Healthcare: Thing is, Republicans need to realize that their constituents &non voters have had a chance to experience ACA aka Obamacare! Though some Governors stepped in and denied their fellow man the expansion of Medicaid.

Yes, some folks didn’t like #ACA aka Obamacare, but that was because President Obama’s name was attached to it and when you think about a person’s name as being the only reason you would deny your family of maybe living longer? Well …it’s just beyond my understanding. I get it, folks are claiming they suffer from higher premiums and the costs are outrageous, some love Obamacare, others confess it saved their lives; remember some republicans said this. I think those who suffered need to have a professional check their applications for errors, misinformation and of course their state’s version of #ACA probably is the real problem and yes there are victims of not just the insurance industry but their states’ policies because they need serious health care reviews not the implementation of a means tests, preconditions, more restrictions, age taxes or anything giving the 1% a gift tax cut off the backs of sick people.

Most feel, if #trump gets his way, we will not only get less health care but we will be in line at urgent care centers or the ER more and end up paying more for the health care rendered on levels that put you and yours at risk of losing everything, making those republican #deathpanels a reality. The idea that the House voted and passed a health care bill called it a win and celebrated out loud was offensive and laughable because it didn’t pass in the Senate, they want to start from scratch and now it’s on the back burner again.

I don’t know about you, but IMO, health care should be a right, not a privilege, but year after year we continue to see a panel of republican men making decisions for women who more often than not take care of all the family health care issues, including for the men in their lives. so, vote for the democratic party this November because it’s obvious we need to end the era #trump and move to make him a one-term president!

Vote for the Democratic Party …yes #ACA needs tweaks but this republican like the bill(RomneyCare) is worthy of saving … these “guys” want to kill it

Paul Ryan and ayn rand … a reminder of contradictions

I don’t know about you but if you grew up with a certain teaching or dogma and you are now in your mid-forties + … it must be hard to convince folks that you now reject a philosophy after only a couple of hours later –  just saying

Professor Gates … i am offended by the Police PR lady … never forget! a repost

So, we’re on day 9 of Black History Month.  February, the shortest month has been filled with stories, documentaries, and information regarding the people experiencing life as African Americans. The ever-present and the unfortunate increase of incidences of living while Black happened to Professor Gates in 2009; the charges may have been dismissed and Professor Gates may have agreed to sign off on a piece of paper or some kind of waiver … but we all know the PR lady and her department made arrangements for a press conference and on national tv she stated that they firmly believed the actions the police took were justified… was an awful decision least we talk about what did take place

There were reports that 6 officers were dispatched to Professors Gates property … 6?

questions still abound … why didn’t they know who lives in their police district? his home is in an affluent college neighborhood and as an Affluent Professor, he should have privileges … was it a disgruntled neighbor or someone driving by? Whoever it was, the dispatch has an obligation and should have taken time to find out who lived there and told the police to act accordingly. Unfortunately, this behavior is historic and horrific especially when the person in question is Black …  Professor Gates arrest was a way to show him who was in charge and in control.

the fight is constant … to retain both our constitutional democracy and republic

So, Today is a day to close your eyes breathe in through your nose slowly and deeply then release your breath slowly exhale through your mouth… be still stay calm  repeat if needed

just another rant …

It has been a big week and or month for what seems to be a comeback of the tea party, gaining a lot of airtime and most of the interviews have them spewing a conspiracy theory about not only who should get impeached, but how the FBI our government law enforcement is now tainted. I guess this should not surprise anyone but the idea that Republicans in Congress who used to be respected at some point have chosen to ignore the obvious paper trail or digital one and the words coming outta the mouths of respected career service workers just seems too coincidental for me.  I want to know what if any association do these folks have to all things done said acted upon by the trump admin.  In 2013, only 18% of the public identified themselves as members of the tea party, but in this era of trump it seems they are back showing their true colours very loudly but have now transformed into something worse?

We all read how Republicans still believe or want voters to believe and blame any bs happening in this current government on President Obama and as we moved through the impeachment process and Presidential Primaries then the election, kooks who were voted into office now appear more unqualified than ever before and need to be voted out asap what with all the hearings and NOW Covid19, voters are getting another chance to see exactly what they voted for and seriously the democratic party did a great job in selecting members of Congress during midterm2018 …  a tidal wave.

The notion that any republican member of Congress should remain seated in Congress while backing alternative facts and spewing what sounds like foreign propaganda is offensive. The old Tea Party was angry and misinformed but this new group of tea partiers or trumpist is much more willing to ignore the obvious including congressional duties, regular order, norms the rule of law and have seemingly been spitting on Our Constitution on the regular.

It’s tough to believe these people are actually buying that trump is actually governing with the constitution and rule of law in mind. It has got to be something else going on especially since he hasn’t really done anything for his constituents but to them.  Again, just my opinion.   I understand being upset about the politics of it all in general, but the fact is some  were mad that 53% voted an African American into the office POTUS and if you were watching the impeachment debates etc it was clear republicans are still blaming him for whatever they won’t take personal responsibility for while others continue using xenophobia and racism to incite fear, promote exclusion and have crossed the lines of sanity … will folks get it in this era of Covid19

I will say it again, most if not all of the new group of Republican members of congress seem like misinformed trump operatives, others are racists and then there is a small group of misguided individuals. This is just my opinion.  There are quite a few solutions including impeaching trump but registering new voters and getting out the vote is important, remember that the mid-term elections have always been a no big deal vote and that got changed as the #Midterm2018tidalwave switched out republicans in Congress for the democratic party as the fight for the right to vote beat out gerrymandering in the courts, yet the battle continues on. The struggle is real.

an election affected by overt & unforeseen events

Mike-Myers-Dr-EvilMy election rant

I read a post on Facebook that rang true for me the night we all had to accept trump won the electoral vote. It was written in a seemingly calm tone because, to be honest, the feeling of unrest was still brewing within me and for so many others too, because as they say; trouble is “still afoot”   I will admit when the first reports came in I had a sinking feeling and include that with msnbc body language … journalists? who kept saying we will give you as much information as we can without giving away the whole store far too many times for me…  least we talk about the interview with the gold star family who clearly were uncomfortable, ending the interview with a strange look,  a huge hesitation then stated, which I love and respect: whatever the outcome tonight, the fight will continue …

That night the nation was told over 800 polling locations were quietly closed prior to the election …after the fact and state after state with republicans in charge were able to block folks from voting with the new voter ID law. A major wtf moment. Again, the closures of voter locations in certain states never made it into the airwaves in time or didn’t get the coverage it should have in order for some sort of action to be implemented or some serious bs was happening on all effin levels and blocked thousands of potential voters.  We did hear seemingly educated black folks some journalists and activists say Hillary wasn’t my choice so I didn’t vote for her … wtf?  Yes, some have said… hindsight is … 2020? Oh for the love of gawd where has the idea of  … acting with common sense and or for the greater good gone? I admit, yes these idioms are considered myths… but come on HRC V trump?

I voted for Hillary because I backed a sane person who had been in the system long enough to have made friends on both sides of the political aisle  … and while battling the media, certain politicians, and trump, who has no experience in politics, seemingly threatening us(POC)  with his version of National American values;  that WILL hurt family friends folks I have worked with.  Then there’s the FBI coming out twice, mostly republican during the Election season…  This Woman stood up, tried to not only crack that glass ceiling in politics she withstood the bull that still exists NOT just in the life of average female voter, or those in politics, but a nation of mostly white folks deciding to choose this white guy, again, having absolutely no experience seemingly deeming him basically their savior.   Yes, the break down is clinical! I blame some POC; I blame bernie bots for not realizing it was a binary choice to save our Nation! I blame republicans for continually finding ways to block the Black vote without punishment and I blame the uninformed and misinformed voter…  the idea that trump refused to be vetted is unprecedented and It’s shameful.

NO, I couldn’t don’t wouldn’t support bernie after doing research on his past, the idea that anyone would change his political label that many times should have given folks a pause. I don’t know why but the bernie NIMBY bill &vote for dumping #toxicwaste on #SierraBlanca among several other things bothered me. The lack of time spent either fighting with, for,  negotiating or in lockstep with the black community or any community of colour was a red flag and in comparison, I saw positives in  Hillary Clinton that were good bad and ugly.  The “predator comment” happened during a time of much violence and death.  The police the courts lacked among other things the ability to do DNA tests because science wasn’t there and yes the police were allowed to swoop in and take a lot of black lives to jail,  or killed them by using excessive force others resisted and some were guilty …a whole lot of black men were swept up by anger and violence back then – just so folks know – Black People from all walks of life tended to agree that something was happening and it wasn’t just the everyday black man it was a group choosing to be violent but most stayed silent while the clinton administration at the time chose to say it out loud- it was a shared thought … it just wasn’t voiced. Those who voted for bernie in the Primaries voiced their opinions but he lost and should have seen the evil lurking and did the right thing by supporting sanity over fascism on Election day.   ok, yes I keep going back to that old saying, for the “greater good” because it seems like an action based on common sense… where was it, what happened to it? We all heard the rhetoric from trump, who threw down with 16 -17 experienced republicans; only to show be seemingly scared, unwilling to go for the jugular and all fell out like cowards going down for the count.

I don’t believe you can be in the game of politics for 30yrs and not be a part of the shit that happens, stuff is said and done while knowing you have got to come together for the “greater good” but hey that’s just me.

Again, that post on Facebook, summed it up for me; The options came down to Fascism, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, fraud, rape charges, hidden taxes, ties to Russian intelligence, dictatorship, Putin and hacked emails that may or may not be tied to him as well.

We the People, finally heard after the election that yes indeed trump had/has ties to Russia and that ladies and gentlemen is probably just the beginning to some ish that will dribble out some our mainstream media will ignore, parts will be covered likely will be old news or skimmed over because of their mostly conservative owned stations.

Anyway, bottom line …  the post continued stating the other choice offered up what most said was a flawed but calm, qualified and predictable candidate … It shouldn’t take a brain surgeon or folks like m.moore to tell working-class white folks they should have supported and voted for sanity over fascism, but here we are. I agree, mourn then get your stuff organized because trump said a lot, threatened far more than acceptable, waved his finger at a lot of folks and we all know that actions, his actions do speak louder than his words and my told you so …#MidtermsMatterNow

now he’s being impeached
