Right now, the air quality across the state ranges from unhealthy to hazardous and people are urged to stay inside. This is the second year in a row Seattle and the surrounding region has experienced severe wildfire smoke that leaves us gasping for air. Not to mention, an increase in deadly wildfires across the West that are changing the landscape for years to come.

Health is a right that belongs to everyone on Earth. If you care about reproductive rights and justice you should care about environmental rights. We all deserve the right to plan our families, and if we decide to parent children to raise them in a safe and healthy environment.

That is why Planned Parenthood Votes is proud to support I-1631, an initiative that aims to build a cleaner future. This initiative is specifically focused on pollution, clean air and clean water and ensuring we pass on a healthier state to future generations. To learn more and take action visit: yeson1631.org.

It is also why we must take a stand every day and fight for the issues that matter most. The decisions our elected officials make are just as important as who is in office. Right now we are fighting to:

Protect the health and rights of Americans by rejecting the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. To take action visit DearSenators.com.
Stand up for the nation’s only reproductive health care program, Title X, as the administration looks to dismantle the program in the coming days.
Speak out against the president’s continued efforts to roll back environmental policies designed to lessen the impacts of climate change and curb pollution by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Make our voices heard in opposition of the backward and ideological views of this administration toward women and families. We won’t go back. Take action at these upcoming events.
