Friday Nights Vote …

It’s clear again that House Republicans are intent on balancing the budget at the expense of middle class families and seniors. Republicans chose to recklessly risk downgrading the nation’s AAA bond rating, raising interest rates for car loans and mortgages — all to protect tax breaks for Big Oil and billionaires.

House Republicans’ political games have brought us recklessly and dangerously close to defaulting on our debt.

The clock is ticking and instead of meeting Democrats halfway, Republican leaders caved to the extreme right-wing.

We are just $43,969 short of hitting our goal to hold Republicans accountable this August when Members are back home in their districts.

Contribute before the critical FEC deadline Midnight Sunday to take the fight directly to Republicans.http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63c9b9/1b9dd8ab/4ce7f280/4e0cec5b/2604407106/VEsH/

It’s on … says Robby Mook

News just broke that Crossroads, one of Karl Rove’s shadowy outside groups, is purchasing millions in advertising attacking President Obama this summer.

There’s no doubt: the fight for 2012 is on.

This all comes as we are within days of the critical midyear Federal Election Commission (FEC) fundraising reporting deadline. Republicans and Democrats are in a virtual dead heat for year-to-date totals, and if we are going to keep pace with this outside money we need to take a strong lead.

That means we need every committed Democrat to contribute something before June 30th. A gift of just $3 or more could go a long way to us having a strong showing. Will you join the fight today?

Contribute $3 or more before the mid-year FEC deadline on June 30th and House Democrats will triple match your gift.

In just four days, the amount of money we raise in the mid-year will be used by the media and talking heads as a measure of our chances of success in 2012.

House Democrats are so committed to June 30th — they are now matching every dollar you give with two of their own. That makes each gift worth triple the amount. It’s make or break time. Please give today before Thursday’s deadline.

 Thanks,

Breaking News: Dead Heat

News just broke of the Republicans’ huge fundraising haul for May.

But the truth is Democrats are still in a virtual dead heat for the year-to-date fundraising totals. That makes the next 10 days before the mid-year Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting deadline absolutely critical. On June 30th, Republicans and Democrats will have to lay it all on the table and report how much money they have in the bank.

We’re over halfway to our $1 Million grassroots goal — we can’t fall short now.

Help us show how committed grassroots Democrats are to winning back the House for President Obama in 2012. Contribute $3 or more today and House Democrats will match your gift dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact.

Media, pundits and our opponents will use these totals as a measure of our chances for success in 2012. We can’t let Tea Party Republicans and their special interest backers like the Koch Brothers gain the upper hand.

Especially after the Republicans’ fundraising haul, we need every committed grassroots Democrat to get involved.

A new GOP push to delay repealing DADT is on –

If you thought the fight to end Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was finally over, think again.

We all thought it was a done deal when President Obama signed the repeal into law. But House Republicans pulled a stunt that could delay or even stop the repeal from taking effect by passing an outrageous series of amendments to the bill that funds our military.

We can’t stay silent in the face of this new GOP push to turn back the clock on repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t tell.

Help the DCCC surpass their goal of getting 100,000 signatures to their petition supporting the repeal. We need to hold the House Republicans accountable for putting their radical social agenda ahead of keeping our military strong and our families safe.

Voice your outrage at House Republicans trying to turn back the clock on repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Sign our petition and then forward it to your friends and family.http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63ca50/1b9dd8ab/486ed6cc/4e0cee73/619517217/VEsH/

When I served in Congress, it was an honor to sponsor and fight for legislation to finally end this discriminatory policy. As an Army officer, I saw firsthand how the policy forces patriots to lie about who they are just so they can defend the freedoms that make America great.

We could not have passed legislation to repeal this policy without your grassroots support. Now, we must keep the pressure on, by exposing the despicable tactics that the Republicans are using to stop the repeal from taking effect.

Sign our petition opposing the efforts being made by House Republicans to turn back the clock on repeal.    http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63ca50/1b9dd8ab/486ed6cc/4e0cee73/619517217/VEsH/

We’ve come too far. We must see this fight through to the end.

It’s time to put Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in the history books for good.

New TV Ad

It’s a dead heat. In a race that is already dealing a major blow to Speaker Boehner and House Republicans’ extreme agenda to end Medicare, all the polls show that Democrat Kathy Hochul is charging into the lead in the New York special election.

Now, shadowy, right-wing special interest groups are dumping money into this deep-red district to avoid a shocking defeat. We can’t let the right-wing control the airwaves in the critical closing days of this election.

http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63ca8d/1b9dd8ab/4ab9cecb/4e0ce9ca/3694608018/VEsH/

Make no mistake: it’s because of your hard work fighting against the Republicans’ plan to end Medicare as we know it, that this deep-red district is now competitive.

The fact that we now have polls showing Democrat Kathy Hochul narrowly leading shows what a huge liability ending Medicare and protecting Big Oil has become for Republicans. Even Speaker Boehner himself was forced to rush up this weekend for an event to try and bail the Republican out. Now they’ve called in Karl Rove and his shadowy swift-boat group to dump in hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Help us fight back against right-wing special interest attacks — Check out our new TV ad in the New York special election and contribute $3 or more to the DCCC today.

Don’t get me wrong, this is an uphill battle. This is a district that Carl Paladino, George Bush, and John McCain won despite losing big in the rest of New York. But we know that we have to go on offense to take back the majority and take the fight into their turf, even when it’s an uphill battle.

We owe it to ourselves to fight this fight and send a message loud and clear that Republicans completely overstepped on Medicare and are losing the independent voters and seniors who voted them into office last year. I hope you’ll join us in this fight. Contribute to the DCCC today >> http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63ca8d/1b9dd8ab/4ab9cecb/4e0ce9ca/3694608018/VEsC/
