Palin steps into Wisconsin

Sarah Palin just endorsed David Prosser, the right-wing candidate in next week’s election for Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Prosser voted with Gov. Scott Walker 95% when they were in the legislature — and if he wins this election, he’ll be the deciding vote on the legality of Gov. Walker’s anti-worker bill that passed in the dark of night after Republicans bent the rules.

Can you join PCCC members across the nation who are calling Wisconsin voters – asking them to defeat the Palin/Walker candidate in Tuesday’s election?

Yes! Show me the shifts to sign up and volunteer from my home!http://act.boldprogressives.org/go/3564?rand_id=70376718&akid=3711.264653.pnUY5f&t=1

No, thanks — but I’ll join thousands of others in donating $3 to support the PCCC’s Wisconsin program.http://act.boldprogressives.org/go/3565?akid=3711.264653.pnUY5f&t=2

In just three days, volunteers made 27,000 calls to Wisconsin voters. We have momentum, and in a low-turnout election our calls can swing this race!

Prosser is running against progressive Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg. If we defeat Palin’s candidate, it will be a big victory for workers and a huge loss for Wisconsin Republicans just as they prepare to play defense in recall elections.

We hope you can spare an hour and volunteer from home for this important cause! Thanks for being a bold progressive.

We Are One: Attend a Local Event

Are you worried, frustrated, and angry about the continuing attacks on workers’ rights, women’s rights, economic security and opportunity for all? Are you looking for another way to demonstrate your concern — in addition to making phone calls and sending emails? On April 4, you can join with people in your community in events to send a strong message: We Are One.

On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, where he had gone to stand with sanitation workers demanding their dream: the right to bargain collectively for a voice at work and a better life for themselves and their children. Now those rights are under attack in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and dozens of other states, and women’s interests are at stake.

Can you join us on April 4 by participating in an event on your community? You can find events near you on this interactive map.  http://action.nwlc.org/site/R?i=uMLiBmcwTSFoVeogJPQeMg..

Attacks on public employees’ rights to collectively bargain directly threaten working women and the vital public services they provide. Most people who work for state and local governments are women: nurses, teachers and others serving our communities. And collective bargaining helps ensure that these women have decent wages, benefits, and working conditions. For more information on why the right to collectively bargain is a women’s rights issue, check out our fact sheet.

Please join us in solidarity on April 4: We Are One.

Sincerely,

Emily J. Martin

BREAKING: First Republican Recalled …boldprogressives.org

BREAKING NEWS: Wisconsin Democrats just announced that local activists submitted over 100% of the signatures needed to “recall” Wisconsin Republican senator Dan Kapanke from office!

After local officials certify the signatures, a new election will be scheduled for Kapanke’s seat. Today’s news is sending shockwaves throughout Wisconsin, and will give huge momentum to efforts in other Senate districts to gather recall signatures.

Now’s the time to flood the Wisconsin airwaves with more of our TV ads supporting the recall and pump energy into places where volunteers are still working hard to gather signatures. Can you help?

PLEASE Click on the link below and after watching it you have to contribute … do it! it is concise short and gets to the point quickly …support this ad below

Recall! …from BoldProgressives.org

Today, we’re turning up the heat in Wisconsin — with a powerful new TV ad that captures the magic of the campaign to “Recall the Republicans.”

This ad shows people of all ages coming together to reject the Republican war on the middle class. We loved the energy in Wisconsin while we were filming the ad. We think you’ll love it too!

Our first Wisconsin ad got rave reviews. When we were filming this new ad in Wisconsin last week, people stopped us on the street and said “Thank you!” for giving voice to what so many people are thinking.

We’re working with our friends at Democracy for America on this ad and other tactics that will defeat Republicans and hold them accountable for their war on the middle class.

Click below to check out the new ad — and if you like it, please donate $3 to put it on Wisconsin TV.

Then, please pass this email to others! Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Right now in Wisconsin

We’ve been busy in Wisconsin and we just finished our brand new RECALL TV ad.

It’s powerful.

We need your help again right now to make an impact. Take a look and please contribute $5 to keep it on the air.

 http://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/619?akid=654.1480546.d8nRh4&t=1

Here’s what’s happening: For the last two weeks, over 2,600 Wisconsin DFA volunteers have been helping gather signatures to put Recall campaigns on the ballot.

They’re over halfway done.

MSNBC‘s Rachel Maddow called our first TV ad with the Progressive Change Campaign Committee “the most pointed, stand-with-the-people-who-work-for-a-living ad that we have seen for a very long time.” We’ve saturated the airwaves with it on broadcast and cable, morning, day and night. We’ve been running radio ads, robocalls, volunteer actions.

All of it targeted at defeating the eight Republican Senators eligible for recall in their districts.

We only need to defeat three Republicans to flip the Senate and stop Scott Walker‘s attack on middle class families.

Please contribute now to keep the NEW Recall Ad on the air.

We’re not taking any momentum for granted. We won’t stop until we win either. In fact, both Democracy for America and our partners at the Progressive Change Campaign Committee have opened local Wisconsin recall committees to make sure we can maximize the flexibility and effectiveness of our campaign,

Recent polling looks very bad for Scott Walker and the Republicans, but we can count on Karl Rove and the Koch brothers to try to change it up and put Democrats on defense.

It’s up to us not let that happen.

Thank you for taking action today.
