Refi: 5 Things You Should Know

You don’t need to visit WhiteHouse.gov. You don’t even need to be on Facebook or Twitter. Sharing the message can be as simple as hitting the forward button and sending it to three friends.

But an image like this can be really powerful over social networks. You post it, and one of your friends picks it up and shares it with her followers. A couple folks who follow her decide to do the same, and pretty soon, the message is seen by people all over the country.

If Congress passes President Obama’s plan, millions of responsible people will get some important relief. But too many people don’t know what’s at stake. And that’s where you come in.

A picture is worth a thousand words, especially when shared with others. That’s why we wanted you to be the first to see and share this new image about devastating policies that reward corporations for shipping good jobs offshore.

Click here now to share this picture with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

50,000 manufacturing facilities gone. 6 million jobs lost. Chronic trade deficits. Record cash hoarding by the largest U.S. non-financial companies. These are all results of the troubling economic policies some of our lawmakers have passed and defended.

These policies have outsourced jobs and rewarded corporations with taxpayers’ money while they ship production, jobs and innovation overseas. Wall Street bankers and CEOs have filled their pockets while the rest of us have picked up the pieces.

This month and beyond, working families across the country will call on lawmakers and corporations to bring good jobs home and invest in America again, instead of shipping away our future.

We will tell you about events and actions during the weeks ahead. But right now, you can help by sharing the above graphic on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

It’s time we brought good jobs home and made new our commitment to Made in America. Do your part by sharing this image at the link below:

Thanks for standing up to big polluters and saying NO to new carbon pollution …Kevin S. Curtis, Climate Reality

Thanks for standing up to big polluters and saying NO to new carbon pollution.

You sent a message supporting a historic limit on carbon pollution in the U.S. It will bring us one step closer to solving the climate crisis. As of today, we and the rest of the environmental community have sent the EPA a record-breaking 1.5 million comments supporting the proposal.

But we’re not done yet. If we want to make an impact, we need everyone to get involved.

Share our petition with your friends and family. Post it on your Facebook page and on your friend’s Facebook page. Tweet it!

Ask your friends to give carbon the finger.

Some days it seems impossible to make progress – but not today. Today there is something you can do. Ask your friends to join you in sending a message to our leaders: No new carbon pollution in the United States.

The anti-gay video that’s going viral … Dan Rafter, Human Rights Campaign

Human Rights Campaign

Have you seen this video yet? Have you shared it?

It’s shocking footage of a North Carolina pastor’s plan “to get rid of all the lesbians and queers” – by putting them all in a concentration camp until they die.

I’m completely serious. Over 30,000 HRC supporters have spoken out against this rank bigotry since we posted about it on Facebook this week. We need to triple that total before we deliver the messages next week – will you help?

Watch this horrifying video, share it with everyone you know, and sign the petition.

Watch the video now.

Here’s what he says:

“Build a great big large fence, a hundred fifty, hundred miles long… put all the lesbians in there… Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out…”

“…And you know what, in a few years, they’ll die out… Do you know why? They can’t reproduce.”

Don’t let him get away with these sickening, hateful remarks – speak out and share this with everyone you know.

Please forward this email, share the video on Facebook and Twitter, and help spread the word. We can’t let this kind of thing go unanswered.

Thanks for standing against hate,

Because of your unprecedented support, we’ve put 75 Republican seats in play — and we’re not done yet. We need to win 25 seats on Election Day – 25 weeks from today – to win a Democratic Majority in the House.
If not, it’ll be 2 more years of these radical Republicans obstructing President Obama’s agenda.
