Obama Launches DNC Campaign Tour At Illinois State Capitol

Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S.2943, the National Defense Authorization Act, post-cloture. All time during adjournment, recess, and morning business will count post-cloture. Unless an agreement is reached, all post-cloture time will expire at approximately 6:00pm.

It is also possible that the Senate reaches an agreement on TSCA during Thursday’s session.

9:02:06 A.M. POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS ON APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL – The Chair announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day’s proceedings and had approved it. Mr. Hultgren demanded that the question be put on agreeing to the Speaker’s approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Chair announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Hultgren objected to the voice vote based upon the absence of a quorum and the Chair postponed further proceedings on the question of agreeing to the Speaker’s approval of the Journal until later in the legislative day. The point of no quorum was considered as withdrawn.
