As a veteran I don’t believe, and I don’t believe these veterans believe assault weapons are responsible for all those school, post office, mall, movie theater and other shootings. I suspect we’d all agree banning them won’t save a single life.
But it’s a happy coincidence [in my case] that the same politicians who’ve bet their own futures on protecting assault weapons are the same ones who want to rape Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. My own livelihood. And while none of those folks marching against guns would lift a finger to protect the ability of senior citizens to survive, they’re out there helping assure it without even intending to.
The flood that carries away the pro-gun politicians will carry away the anti-Social Security politicians. Somehow they ended up on the same boat.
So I say launch the torpedoes and machine gun the lifeboats. Send them back to whatever rocks they crawled out from under.
