Many Americans are trying to help recovery efforts by sending care packages and other supplies to residents. But steep prices at shipping companies like FedEx are making it extra hard for emergency relief packages to arrive.
Local resident Mary started a petition after she heard that some small care packages were being priced at over $700 just to deliver. More than 10,000 people have signed her petition urging FedEx to reduce the cost of shipping relief packages to hurricane relief victims. You can join them here.
