Conagra Brands, Inc., a Milton, Pa. establishment, is recalling approximately 32,400 pounds of canned beef products due to a potential processing defect, resulting in the potential survival of bacterial pathogens in the products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 794” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distribution centers and retail locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Texas.
The problem was discovered by the establishment on July 27, 2019 during routine activities.

- JuJu Bakes, LLC, DBA The Cookie Dough Cafe of Bloomington, IL is recalling 15 cases of 1.6 ounce Chocolate Chip Chilled Gourmet Edible Cookie Dough Bars, because they may contain peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Product was distributed in IL, MI, PA, IN, KY, WI, OH, MN, WV via Lipari Foods and was distributed to select retail stores.
The product comes in a 1.6 ounce, white and turquoise package marked with lot # 19177 with an expiration date of 01/22/20, UPC 850967006531. No other lots or expiration dates were affected.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
Allergen issue was found after an employee tasted peanut butter in a bar labeled chocolate chip. The employee sampling the item did not have a peanut allergy and did not experience a reaction. Her observation led to the recall of Lot #19177. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
We believe fewer than 1,087 cases of product have been directly shipped to retailer warehouses throughout the United States.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recalled products were manufactured at Elevation Foods’ Knoxville, Tennessee facility.
Elevation Foods is working with distributors and retailers to quarantine and recover any impacted product remaining on store shelves.

The affected product is being recalled due to out-of-specification (OOS) dissolution results at the 3-month stability time point. The affected product is manufactured by Cyndea Pharma, S.L., Olvega (Soria), 42110 Spain under contract from Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc., 207 Kiley Drive Salisbury, Maryland 21801.
As a result of the OOS dissolution results, product efficacy may be decreased due to incomplete absorption of the active ingredients. To date, Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc. has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
Product Description: Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets are an estrogen/progestin combination oral contraceptive, indicated for use by women to:
Prevent pregnancy
Treat symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) for women who choose to use an oral contraceptive for contraception
Treat moderate acne for women at least 14 years old and/or if the patient desires an oral contraceptive for birth control
Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets are packaged into a carton containing 3 blister cards. Each blister card contains 28-film coated, biconvex tablets, in the following order: 24 active pink-color round, unscored, film-coated tablets debossed with a “20” on one side, each containing 3 mg Drospirenone and 0.02 mg Ethinyl Estradiol, and four (4) inert white-color round, unscored, film-coated tablets debossed with a “PL”.
The affected Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, USP, has been identified as Lot number 183222, with NDC number 59746-763-43 and expiration date of 11/2020.
Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, USP, 3 mg/0.02 mg, lot 183222 was distributed Nationwide to wholesalers, distributors, and retailers.
Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc. is notifying its customers by emailing a recall notification letter and response form and is arranging for return of all recalled product.
Patients that have used the affected lot of Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, USP, 3 mg/0.02 mg should consult their healthcare provider. Patients may return the affected lot to their place of purchase.
Wholesalers, distributors, and retailers should immediately examine their inventory for the affected lot. All inventory of the affected lot should be quarantined to prevent further distribution to patients. - Mountain Rose Herbs (MRH) of Eugene, Oregon is recalling all sizes ranging from 4 oz. to 50 lbs. of its Fennel Seed Whole, Lot #25031, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
The recalled Fennel Seed Whole was sold directly to customers who ordered from mountainroseherbs.com, purchased at the company’s retail shop in Eugene, Oregon, or placed mail orders by phone or fax. The affected product was also distributed to vitamin and health food stores in AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MI, MN, MT, NC, NE, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV and to one consignee in Canada. It is possible MRH customers also resold the Fennel Seed Whole to their own clientele.
The product comes in a clear plastic or poly-woven bag marked with lot # 25031, which is located on the principal display panel on the lower left of the label. Product has been sold and distributed between April 2019 and up to July 18, 2019.

This form of E. coli may cause diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly. The condition can lead to serious damage and even death.

The company has expanded the list of recalled products to include certain specific fresh Brussels sprouts, fresh cauliflower florets and fresh green beans products with the “best by” or “pack dates” identified in the chart below.
The products originated from a Growers Express production facility in Biddeford, Maine and were distributed to the states of Massachusetts and Maine. Growers Express is no longer sourcing vegetables from the suspected cause of the contamination. There are no reported illnesses to date.

Plastic tub with clear lid. - Northfork Bison Distributions Inc. of St. Leonard, Quebec is recalling its Bison Burgers & Bison Ground because they have the potential to be contaminated with E. coli: O121 and O103. This form of E. coli may cause diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly. The condition can lead to serious damage and even death.
The recalled Bison Burgers & Bison Ground were distributed across Eastern & Central U. S., to institutions and retail outlets.
The institutions that have Bison Burgers and Bison Ground in their inventory with the production date: February 22, 2019 – April 30, 2019, are urged to contact their distributor for a full refund. For the retail outlets, the Bison Burgers (4 x 4 oz) in question, with the expiration date up to October 8th, 2020, can be clearly identified by their blue boxes with the Northfork Bison logo prominently displayed. Consumers who have purchased these Bison Burgers are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

As a precautionary measure, Altaire is initiating the recall due to management concerns regarding the sufficiency of Quality Assurance controls over critical systems in the manufacturing facility. - With the recent announcements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) investigating contaminated Pig Ear Treats connecting to Salmonella, Pet Supplies Plus is advising consumers it is recalling bulk pig ear product supplied to all locations by several different vendors due to the potential of Salmonella contamination. Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.Individuals infected with Salmonella should monitor for some, or all, of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. Products containing glass particulate should not be administered intravenously due to the potential for life-threatening consequences. Reports in the literature suggest that sequelae of thromboembolism, such as pulmonary emboli, phlebitis, granulomas, or fibrosis may occur.
To date, Fresenius Kabi has not received any complaints or reports of adverse events related to this recall.The company is issuing this notification after finding glass particulate in five vials in retained sample inventory of lot 6120341 during an inspection for a quality investigation. The second lot (6120420) is included in the recall as a precautionary measure as it was produced in the same filling campaign.

Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.The Aqueon Betta Food, that is the subject of this recall, was distributed to Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania via distribution centers.
The Aqueon Betta Food, as referenced above and the subject of this recall, is sold only in a 0.95 oz plastic jar with the expiration dates of EX04JUN22 and EX05JUN22, item number 100106051, UPC Code 0 15905 06051 6, and manufacturing dates of 06/04/2019 and 06/05, 2019 (see pictures for easier identification).
No illnesses have been reported to-date.
